Wow I can not believe ICICI will be pulling down this building...this is what happens when idiots are given the task of managing a city.

ALL of BKC should have had a high FSI because it has good infrastructure. MMRDA should have given it a high FSI right from the beginning.

With regards to the bldg, I actually liked the design. I hope they build something noteworthy.

or is the land worth more due to extra fsi given so it has to be torn down?

Beautiful Pics CG!!....and yeah it seems for ICICI they would rather redevelop the land because of more FSI grant than build a new office in another plot, they might be favoring one HQ campus.

Awesome pics CG. ^ i never really liked the headquarters of ICICI anyways. Too much IMO. I really hope they do something great with their new HQ.

Exactly!!...If they are gonna have one HQ, why not make it drop dead gorgeous!!...The current one is quite simple and if it wasn't for the bridge, it would look like any other glass building in India.

Is BKC a kind of a Commercial Block or is it the name of a whole Area/Locality..
Also, how old is this area and was it also built on Old Textile Mill Land which is so very famous in M off late..

BKC(Bandra-Kurla Complex) is CBD in Mumbai which stretches from roughly speeking Bandra flyover to mithi river which lies between Bandra and Kurla and from Kalina to mithi river that area is one of India's biggest Business District and as location says this was not build on a mill as the mills existed only in Parel and its neighborhoods in South Mumbai most of BKC land was reclaimed and other was redeveloped as far as I know
