i wish the entire stretch of edsa was like that with stupid cars staying in their lanes.

why can't stupid mmda fine drivers with reckless driving if they drive outside the lanes and keep swirving.

because everyone has gone so fearless and does all sorts of violations altogether... dito lang ako nakakita na hindi na natatakot sa mga pulis ang drivers, instead, sasagasaan pa nila para makatakas agad sila...

Dapat ang parusa dito, putulan ng kamay at paa!!

Just want to share my experience:

The first time I drove in EDSA was January 1, 2007. Virtually, I'm happy because the road was almost empty. From Roxas Boulevard to Balintawak, it would only take me an hour or less.

January 2, 2007, afternoon: After having a fun time with my family in Bataan and Subic, I was trembling with fear starting Balintawak-Muñoz area, as big buses race each other for the passengers. Swerving like maniacs. And the traffic from Quezon Avenue to Cubao was horrible. It is January 2, nagsisi-uwian na ang mga tao galing sa mga probinsya, di ko pala akalain na as early as 1PM, rush hour na sa EDSA.

Strict ang parents ko. Hanggang Coastal Road, Roxas Blvd and SLEX lang ako pinapayagang mag-drive. Basta hindi lang daw EDSA. Natatakot sa akin siguro mag-drive, hehehehe!!!!

yes there was once traffic light on that intersection, but was deactivated once Bayani of MMDA implemented the now signature "Manila-style U-turn Slot" system... although we around here are still waiting for the project below to materialize in that area:

In addition to that, I wonder how will that project look like now that the plan is to extend LRT1 to North Ave as oppose to MRT3 to Monumento. Although it would really be nice if the connection is seamless like how it is shown in the rendering....

Guys, I dunno if you noticed but there are some foreign multimedia maps describing EDSA as somewhat a freeway, similar to LA's, more or less like an Inter-state Freeway.

Do you consider EDSA as such due to its width, importance, physical appearance, number of flyovers, underpasses and intersections?

If it has at-grade intersections, which EDSA has a lot, then it's not a freeway. A freeway should be free-flowing, at least in theory

I agree. Yet I have no choice kaya sometimes I pretend am in an expressway while at EDSA

from the sections of Ayala to Q. Avenue. I hope exits can be placed so cars won't just swerve in and out similar to that of Annapolis St corner EDSA. Also I hope thru traffic lanes can be designted in T-merging intersections such what MMDA did in Connecticut corner EDSA --> I hope they do the same in Katipunan corner EDSA, Munoz corner EDSA, CUBAO (in front of bus terminals corner EDSA), etc. I hope Balintawak interchange can be improved further.
