Future of the country- Education Reform!!!!!
Future of the country- Education Reform!!!!!
I have noticed one worryng thing. How can a government say its reforming the Economy but invest nothing in education? Since JOKA took over as elected president he said Education is one of the 5 Chantiers. But where is that EDUCATION chantier? |

No students without a school - no school without money - no staff and teachers without a school - no good staff and teachers without a decent pay - no good staff and teachers' without decent teachers' schools - no decent school system without a reasonably efficient administration - no money without a budget and $ in State coffers - no $ in State coffers without a running economy - no running economy without good communications, good governance, good management, good administration, good assistance, etc...
...and nothing will work as expected if the system is corrupt. So unless you wish to put the cart before the horse, the priority is clear. If I tell you that the Belgian Cooperation provided computers, peripherals and a one-year (very cheap) internet subscription to a number of Kin schools, what do you think happened after that year ? Actually, miracle, one school had been using everything as planned and continued to pay the cheap subscription by themselves....a school run by Catholic sisters. At the entrance of the "naval base" at carrefour Baramoto is written "la discipline est la mère des Armées". Perhaps a good start for a walk into philosophy. |

Don't get me wrong. I don't ecpect everything to suddenly be good overnight. But i have become very critical because the gouvernment has no plans, no priorities whatsoever. thats sickning. Quote:

Hello brother, just would like to reply
"I'm Congolese, who told you that i'm a Westerner? "To answer that, I know you are Congolese, I meant to say Congolese living in a western country. "I'm Congolese. Why should i care about what those countries do?[/QUOTE]" To answer that, It was a question of relativity. Congo, like those governments, were assisted by this program. Congo is still in the beginning of the procedure. Keep in mind reaching le point d'achevement was delayed by 2 years by Western powers for reasons you know "Joka investing $10 millions for deputies" As i understand it, this was a loan guarantor. The deputies still have to pay monthly payments but the state acts as a loan guarantor to the financing company. I agree that it was probably a way to buy the deputies off down the road. By the end of this year, the PPTE funds of about $600 millions should be available for use. Those funds are restricted for education, health, infrastructures and are monitored. Let's hope those funds will do some good in 2012 |

Tshisekedi said that education will be free from primary, secondary to university. I wonder if it will be good quality education?

Butembo How did JOKA buy 500 Jeeps for Deputees National, but ignored renovating existing Universities de Kin, Lu'shi, Kisangani?
So, spending 10s of millions on useless Deputees who already have big salaries, is more important or a priority than Education???? Kinkiesse As i understand it, this was a loan guarantor. The deputies still have to pay monthly payments but the state acts as a loan guarantor to the financing company. There was no loan, it was a "gift" from the State coffers. I dare to say I have a certain knowledge of the case...my company bought one of those nice 4x4, rather cheap, from a MP, with just 3000km on the dashboard. Guess who is the Nissan representative in DRC ? |

10 years in power. Rotten Universities, nothing built. Professors striking every year, sold the country. Economy terrible. on and on and on.
We are doomed in this decade again. |

What has been done is by far not enough to meet national needs but it has the merit of existing and the effort needs to be encouraged. Last edited by Pius; January 11th, 2012 at 03:10 AM. |
