IFMA Business Tower | 250 m | Pro

I edited the title a bit. When we don't know the exact number of floors, let's leave exclude it and post only the height.

And c'mon, at least on this type of threads we should use English! It's not that hard!

Noted!

Cosmin, do you think it'd be possible to have a section in the Bucharest sub-forum dedicated to high-rises/skyscrapers only, or, as an alternative, to special projects which could include high-rises/skyscrapers as well?

Reason: the number of high-rise and skyscraper projects, as well as other quality projects in Bucharest is starting to get more numerous and a dedicated section would allow for a nice organisation of such projects for us and for others who visit the section.

What do you think?

Of course we can, but I don't think we should at the moment. It would be nice, but the reality is that we don't have that many projects (not even proposed ones) to warrant this, so you're getting a bit ahead of yourself.

We can work on indexing current projects in a thread though. I think this would be better for our current needs and size.

Please, make all requests/proposals on the Sandbox or via PM.

I think we have quite a few interesting high-rise projects which are lurking around other non-high-rise projects. Bucharest's forum is getting crowded and a bit disorganized by the variety of topics, and some separate sections would be warranted IMO, but I go with your opinion and let you decide when to make separate sections.

How about that lift tower. Is it still operational or abandoned?

Abandoned, and as far as I heard it never was functional although it was supposed to test the elevators from the Parliament Palace. All the elevators were tested in a near by tower, smaller than this one. I heard it was smth to do with Ceausescu.
If somebody has more info...
(why are we writing in English? it's a Romanian thread no? No foreign user made his appearance yet....so..?)

Ideea este buna.
Situat intre pasajele Basarab si Grant, spatiu industrial nefolosit.

Guys, I drove by the place last night, in the Basarab flyover, and you could see a HUUUUGE banner almost covering the entire Elevator testing tower, with Tiriac on it. I think they really plan to use the buiding, but I can't figure out how...

Banner-ul ala e mai de demult. Nu stiu ce implicatii are, daca are.

There was a banner with "Tiriac-auto" even something like 7-8 years ago (when i was staying in the Crangasi area, and was using the 41 every day, crossing the Grant bridge, near the elevator tower). It's just a commercial, like on many other buildings in Bucharest ...it doesn't mean anything, or doesn't have anything to do with the construction of a 250m tower...I think....

This project would definitely have a major impact on the area, and change it for good....especially with the Heineken project, just a few meters away. There would be a spectacular skyline created, with the cable stayed bridge(85m), plus some +100m highrises and a +200m tower.
