Keith Galloway (Wests) is out until round eight. He is often out injured too.

Same with Tedesco the young Tigers fullback. What a debut, poor bugger...
I hate seeing young kids suffer season ending injuries, it's paralised a lot of talented player's careers. Another is Jordan Kahu of the Broncos, real promising kid who did his ACL again this pre-season and is 2 years in a row. He would be 100/1 to get back as good as he was before these injuries.

Get on Manly tonight, odds of $2.26 is a very good bet, they should do it in a canter even without Glenn Stewart.

Fridge-gate!

Quote:
Rugby league's cold war has rolled into day two, with the Panthers posting a 24-hour guard on the controversial fridge the NRL wants to ban.

Penrith general manager Phil Gould is adamant the fridge, filled with the product of the club's new sponsor OAK on game day, won't be going anywhere, despite claims it encroaches on the rights of Telstra, the code's naming rights sponsor.

Despite being wanted by the NRL for alleged crimes against major sponsor Telstra, the Penrith Panthers fridge was still standing proudly in the western Sydney club's media centre.

In fact, if league boss David Gallop wants to get his hands on the controversial Kelvinator, he will now have to get past the burly minders of E-Group Security - a Sydney protection firm last night hired to guard said cooler around the clock.

"Yes, I've contacted E-Group security and asked them to protect Australia's most valuable fridge," Gould said.

"Head man is Sammy Chamoun. He's our security bloke and has been charged with having someone guard the fridge 24 hours a day.

"I've also noticed all the Oak milk has been taken out since last weekend.

"I can assure you it will definitely be restocked in time for our next home game against South Sydney on Sunday week."

Honestly, stories don't get much better than this.

Yet it also means the NRL and Panthers general manager Gould are set for a bizarre showdown over sport's most controversial white good since Chicago Bear William "The Refrigerator" Perry.

The NRL had reprimanded Penrith for using a fridge filled with Oak milk - the club's new $2.9 million sponsor - as part of its press conference backdrop.

Staffers from League HQ even took the extraordinary step of emailing the Panthers to state that, as the fridge robbed Telstra - the game's naming rights sponsor - of prime positioning on the backdrop, it would need to be removed before the next home match against Souths.

That won't be happening.

In fact, the controversial fridge is set to feature an added presence - Sammy Chamoun, the retired Illawarra prop now employed to handle all security matters out west at Panthers.

"And I can assure you we'll be throwing the equivalent of a second Penrith team behind this," Chamoun joked.

"Our firm looks after politicians, elite athletes ... the fridge will be receiving the same VIP treatment."

The security move continues a hilarious chain of events that yesterday saw the Panthers receive a groundswell of support from league fans via Twitter and Facebook.

It's understood sponsors from more than one rival Sydney organisation even contacted the club to praise the ingenuity of their marketing team.

Having ended an association with Sanyo that spanned 12 years in 2011, the Panthers signed Oak because of its neat fit with their aim to appeal to families in western Sydney.

I'm glad I backed Manly because they won 22-18.

Don't worry I backed them heavily, couldn't believe the odds available. I don't know if it's a game plan by Sheens but if I were a fan of the Tigers I would be livid about the number of times they kicked on early tackles looking for a repeat set.

Good win last night by the Cowboys over the Broncs, just shows what an even comp its going to be this season, the Cowboys played a lot better than last week but they still have a few silly errors they need to get rid of if they want to be contenders. The Broncos were too undisciplined and gave away too many cheap penalties and I just can't warm to Wallace, he just shows no creativity in attack but I was impressed with Corey Norman.

Norman is brillant in the 6 last night! But I gave credit to the Cowboys doing this bit better than the game last week which had no points on the scoreboard.

Perhaps. Dragons vs Bulldogs not long to go!

Canterbury win 30-4. A very undisciplined effort by the Saints and they paid for it big time.

Because we are being interrupted by those stupid signings of two players off to Knights in middle of our season! Scott and King off to Knights at end of the season. Hence we suck. Stupid NRL going for money!

Need start petition for this bullcrap.

IT GOT TO DO WITH THE SIGNINGS!!!! God sake. Read the players body language! Scott played badly in past 3 games, hence he doesn't care about us anymore. He gone to Knights at end of the year, that what he is looking forward to.

READ THE BODY LANGUAGE!

NRL is most ridiculously stupid organisation in sports in entire world. It use as a money, transferring players from team to team 24/7 like 7-11 stores. Its making financial concerns and stress on playing the games. Plenty confusion, hence what the Dragons are like now.

So Dragons will become financially rotten by losing the money.

1 from 7 this week (3/15 so far this season). Thank Jebus my tipping comp has a prize for wooden spoon...

Must say that the salary cap is working, after Round 2 only 3 teams are undefeated. Must find an octopus.

How can it be? All players are expected to perform to their best no matter what.

Also Canterbury took advantage of the errors and thats why Josh Morris had one cracker of a game.

Only one player favours the team. Josh Morris that is.

Its about the attitude, if you were a player and best friend and he is leaving your team. How you feel about that? Its sad, its conflicting the attitude. Lets think about how the attitude has made in middle of the season? Quite intruding.

BSD, I didn't hear you complaining when the Dragons were signing Darius Boyd and others mid-season.

Don't worry the Dragons are specials tonight against the Tigers, they are too good a side to have 2 shockers in a row and I wouldn't take anything from the Tigers comeback last week, they were playing a Manly side who had been to England and back, then to NZ before a 5 day turnaround to play the Tigers.

Not with great confidence but I think the Broncs will beat the Knights, the Knights should really have lost last week's game, Cronulla bombed a thousand tries and missing Gidley won't help.

The Broncos even after that two point loss will be brimming with confidence.
