Back up the coast, this is the small town of Ston marking the start of the Peljesac peninsula.

And finally a communist era war memorial located at a viewpoint along the peninsula. It looks like it used to be a popular spot but fell out of favour post independence, there was an abandoned building there that looked like it had been a cafe or visitor centre and some of the name plaques on the memorial had been defaced.

I visited that place as well, back in 2006 What was interesting is that many of the names(actually about50%) of the local partizans written on the memorial were actually not slavic, but italian...

Pelejsac was very nice. My basecamp was a village called Sreser, at the middle between Orebic and Ston.

Cool photos! Brought back nice memories.
