Nice thread. I can definitey see the charm of Rio De Janeiro, but I can see how it's a little overrated as a city. The downtown looks very dated, gritty but the natural setting and culture is where Rio truly shines

Great setting and some wonderful colonial buildings. Not as prosperous as I expected, but interesting nonetheless.
