Xavier University and Pryce Corporation broke ground last March 29 for the construction of the Xavier University–Pryce Center for Entrepreneurship.

The so-called student mall will rise between the Science Center and Agriculture Buildings. Construction is expected to be completed by September. A new gate will be opened fronting Corrales Avenue.



The 3-storey facility will serve as a laboratory for emerging entrepreneurs and support the Student Entrepreneurship Program (SEP) of the school intended to initiate and nurture student-led and operated enterprises.

The Xavier University–Pryce Center for Entrepreneurship will operate like a student business incubator. Students are eligible to apply to the SEP. Business ideas that will be accepted for incubation in the center will be provided with seed capital alongside consultancy and advisory services, marketing assistance, technology development and business linkages. The student business owners will also be taught entrepreneurial values, business ethics, environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility.

The center will have around 13 shopping stalls where the students can display and market their products. The center will also be equipped with a training room for developing entrepreneurship modules and a business center complete with computer units, a telephone line and an internet connection.

Students not just from Business courses but also from other fields like Engineering and Education have already started submitting proposals for business incubation.

The so-called student mall inside Xavier University is well underway. Officially named Pryce Center for Entrepreneurship, the structure is now steadily taking shape.

As revealed in the following photos, the steel frames of the covered walkway at the back are already installed. Workers are seen doing excavations for the drainage and footings. Most of the pictures were taken from the bridge. The concrete benches in the area were temporarily relocated along the sides. The covered walkway leads to the Magis Student Complex.

The large blue covering is hard to ignore if you pass by the site. As shown, a new gate will be opened on this area to cater to customers who might want to look into the marketing projects of students to be displayed at the center.

The main steel structure is already in place and much of the work is done after school hours so as not to disrupt classes. Portion of the covered walk has been completed already.

Otso ektaryas ra pud tawn ang Corrales campus uy! Kinahanglan na jud mag migrate ang XU sa Manresa kay misugwak na mga developments sa present campus...

never jud.. 1st year pako sa college. naa pa old canteen. dad2 amu ffp class. naa pa ang old highschool dad2 ang office sa nstp. then karon wala najud tanan..hahays.. maski ang canteen sa ako college days nga ground floor sa commerce bldg wala napud...

Bai present lang kuno ka any ID sa gate, then hatagan ka ug temporary pass. I still have to get te form and inquire on the fees ug uban pa pag uli nako...
