Hope to see an A330 of PR in this airport in the next few years if tourism campaign in the province will be successful. :-)

di malayong mangyari nyan.. after the rehab, it's an assurance that the influx of tourists in Dipolog will rise more, hence, add'l frequency will be added & bigger jets will be utilized..

Hopefully it will be materialized soon but I'm currently looking for the permanent upgrade of A319 to A320 of PR and 5J in this airport and then the additional 5J flights will proceed. So with DPL-CEB flight increase

It's geographically located at Northwestern Mindanao part of Zamboanga Peninsula infronting Dumaguete City.

May nakita ako sa flickr na pic of A319 in Dipolog bound for Cebu. Is it true na gumamit ang 5J ng A319 sa DPL-CEB route?

I would rather prefer a multiple A319/320 flights than one flight with a A330 to Manila like Dadiangas. Of course that is not impossible assuming we have plenty of fresh sardines to export to Japan like Gensan have with their fresh Tuna to be carried under the belly.

And yes, 5J did fly A319 to Dipolog from Cebu couple of times but the standard equipment there is ATR. My brother was able to ride one of them and he was surrounded by Koreans. It is also common for 5J and PAL to use A320 although standard equipment is A319. Sometimes PAL have extra flight to Manila and sometimes 5J does. Airlines call it special flights because they are not part of the regular schedule. Other than that, its just a daily A319 flight to Manila. I don't know if its happening lately after Ozamiz was opened.

Dipolog-Dumaguete route would probably be history. With Roro leaving almost every hour from Dapitan, you'll be in Dumaguete in 4 hours time unlike before your only choice is 4pm departure aboard GP boat. Now you can ride with your car all the way to Manila as early as 4am. You'll probably arrive there first even by walking.
