You guys do realise right that not everyone who likes Apple products is a mindless zombie? I've even waited in line for the iPhone and the George Street store opening, but that doesn't mean I think every product they release is good.

Yes I do, however most of the people I know that have bought an apple product belive it is the only smartphone/mp3 player/etc. that exists, or they are fanbois.

Not everyone, but still a lot. Steve has successfully make lots of people think iphone is the only smartphone around. That it is the phone to own.

Yeah let's hate on apple because they are genius marketers and the other companies aren't

That's because you love Apple, so you're hardly objective. My wife brought home an ipod that she has to use for emails at work. Three days of trying everything won't get it to connect to the wi-fi at home. Oh let me guess; Apple products all just work out of the box, they're all incredibly user-friendly, so it must be my fault. Maybe I'm not holding it properly. Imagine if I bought a bed from Ikea, put it together according to the instructions provided, then it collapsed and when I complained they said it was because I didn't know how to lie down properly.

Buying a product doesn't make you a fanboi.

Is apple products even SUPPOSE to work out of the box, the ipad2 doesn;t work out of the box, got to installed the itune, and when install, it does not detect the ipad.

If you don't have a PC/Mac, then you can't use it.

Sorry, I meant my ADSL wireless router. Whatever you call it, it and ipod don't want to talk, turned on or not, wi-fi association button pushed, every code on every bit of paper tried etc etc. Two laptops, a telephone and a tele talk to it, no probs, but not the ipod.
