Now why can't all our glass be as nice as that? I was sick of all the glass a good 3 years ago, but this one does look good.

People correctly point out that AURA was transformative for the skyline. 5ive Condos is a less obvious candidate but is a building accomplishing the same result. It's helping stitch the CBD to Yorkville. With the completion of both AURA and 5ive, the eye now travels north from the CBD to Yorkville and takes in the whole thing. Before, people tended to look at the CBD only.

Really? I haven't lived in TO in about a year+ so it's been a while since I've seen that building and view. But I would have thought 1 Bloor would better fulfill the function you describe - or do you consider that already part of Yorkville. It wasn't when I was growing up in the city, but I've noticed that the developers and real estate agents keep pushing "Yorkville" further and further south of Bloor so they can generate higher prices.
