Which shade of Beige would you like ?

So that is how they make it look like stone.

It looks like some kind of brutalist monster right now, but that will change with the cladding in place.

It's 2013. Even the 70s and 80s boxes look better.

Only the lower 13flrs are clad, the rest are stamped concrete, which is kinda nice now with some real character when it is damp or raining. But ... the concrete is scheduled to be painted - beige.

As crazy as it sounds, I actually prefer the bare concrete.

The beige is so boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Looks like an excellent example of blending more classic elements with modern. The building fits perfectly with its surroundings in this part of Chicago and is a beautiful addition to the neighborhood.

Precast

Wet Raw Concrete - stamped with a pattern. I will post a side by side comparison once it is painted and another misty day rolls around.

Well, it's not spectacular, but not lousy either, so it's a very welcomed addition to Chicago.

This building is gross. I live a few blocks and while the height is good for the area, the building itself is nothing short of disgusting. Amli has never done a decent building and they should stick to building their crap in the suburbs. Unfortunately, they are adding two more shit boxes in the South Loop. God help us.

It's beyond gross. It's positively putrid. The developer and 'archtect' of this project suffer from such an acute lack of taste it's difficult to put into words. It's embarrasing that in the 21st century something this bad has been erected in downtown Chicago. Absolutely nauseating....

I don't understand what's so bad about it? Looks like every other apartment building in the area.
