I like that building. It's looks very versitile and practical. But it is not just a box. That's a cool looking building.

Interesting design, it looks a bit like 'the eye' in Amsterdam.

Hi there, I lived in Lausanne two years ago, I'm really happy about this project although you'll need to improve the line 1 of the metro because it has a really small capacity and eventually it will collapse (now it kind of does specially at peak hours because of the students of UNIL and EPFL)

Hi! In the short term, the only improvement is to buy two additional trains so that all trains are composed with four units, all the 5 minutes. The line is single-lane (trains crossing at stations), a profound improvement is not expected before 15 years. In addition, higher the pace would increase big problem in level crossings for automobile traffic ...

Meantime, bus lines have been established and will be further developed in order to relieve the metro.

One other way to alleviate the metro is to build more student housing near the EPFL / UNIL, as shown in these images.

Thank you for your interest! Here is the SSC Metro M1 thread: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1485353
