The “Gala Venue” technology quickly and automatically transforms stage platforms and detachable seating rows to accommodate a wide variety of events. This Canadian patented system can automatically configure a convention hall into many different layouts to meet the specific needs of each audience and every event. More

CONVENTION / CONFERENCE CONFIGURATION
AUDITORIUM + MEZZANINE 3 000 SEATS
Easily accessible from the main lobby, the innovative auditorium is fully modular. It can be converted from conference auditorium, to exhibition hall, to banquet room in only 15 minutes. Each seat is fitted with high-tech equipment including a keypad system. Overlooking the 2 206 - seat auditorium is a 794 - seat mezzanine, for a total capacity of 3 000 seats.

Equipped with the “Gala Venue” technology, the auditorium can be converted in 15 minutes to an exhibition hall or banquet hall (flat floor configuration) opening out into the main lobby. It is thus entirely possible to hold a conference followed by a spectacular evening reception.

The main auditorium can be divided into two rooms with movable partitions. The smaller-capacity auditorium can accommodate 1 757 people in theater-style configuration and a second event can be held simultaneously in the separate, 357 - seat lower mezzanine area.

When the modular walls are retracted, this 3 780 m2 hall can accommodate exhibitions, banquets, a “poster exhibit” area, workshops, and other types of events. A business center comprising a photocopying area and fourteen offices is available for event organizers to use.

A conference center passing from 0 to 2000 places automatically is under construction in the EPFL's campus. With 500 student housing to.

Hi there, I lived in Lausanne two years ago, I'm really happy about this project although you'll need to improve the line 1 of the metro because it has a really small capacity and eventually it will collapse (now it kind of does specially at peak hours because of the students of UNIL and EPFL)

Hi! In the short term, the only improvement is to buy two additional trains so that all trains are composed with four units, all the 5 minutes. The line is single-lane (trains crossing at stations), a profound improvement is not expected before 15 years. In addition, higher the pace would increase big problem in level crossings for automobile traffic ...

Meantime, bus lines have been established and will be further developed in order to relieve the metro.

One other way to alleviate the metro is to build more student housing near the EPFL / UNIL, as shown in these images.
