Better go with the NGS. They will get you updated.

Preliminary grading and set-out are in progress. Estimated completion of the basic stadium alone would be in Oct/Nov 2013 and the full complex by Jul 2014.

Hi,

I have been a regular but passive visitor to Trivandrum based forums. Thanks to all active participants who have been doing a great job in keeping this going!!
Trying to become a bit more active by posting a first picture depicting a small update on construction of the international stadium at kariavattom.
Clearing on the pathway from the highway to stadium has started on Saturday with trees being cut down and cleared.

The process has been started on last wednesday.

Made a short visit to the location. Ground work is in progress at this time. Not a significant change - however good to see that things have started moving!!

- They would be setting out the site right now and commencing preliminary excavation. The detailed design and construction design work should be complete in a few weeks' time. Then the main contract would start.

Nice pic's....

Is the pic taken today??? I've seen a couple of JCB's and trucks clearing the land in the stadium area and its missin in this pic thats why i've asked....
Anyway its movin ahead...

Hi Abhijith,

This picture was taken on the 30th Saturday. However, this is from the highway opposite to University gate. This is where the pathway to the stadium starts from the highway. The actual land for the stadium is visible far away.

Clearing work is in progress in full swing as indicated by you on the actual stadium land.
There was some issue with unloading materials last week with locals unions raising some issues - however, the land clearing and grading continues in full swing.

Ajith - will check out the view from Tejaswini food court and try to get a picture if possible.
