I wonder why Lviv is so unknown city. In architecture terms it is same league as Prague, Cracow and few others.

The territory of the Lviv Historic Centre Ensemble covers 120 ha of the Old Russ and Medieval part of the city, as well as the territory of the St. George’s Cathedral on the St. George’s Hill. The buffer area of the Historic Centre, which is defined by the historic area bounds, is approximately 3,000 ha.

Answear is I think obvious. It lies in the Ukraine. (no offence) If it would be in Poland, Czech, Germany it would be better advertised (you need cash).

Over one million tourists visited Lviv in 2010. Tourists in Ukraine always more than in Poland.
