BRT opened last month.

Next opening should be the Mississauga Transitway sometime in the next 6 moths, it is a grade separated BRT that runs from Downtown Mississauga to the 427 to allow for quick access for Mississauga transit and GO buses.

Some of my pics from Toronto metro.

As for the metro i must say it's very good. Only - not dense enough for such a big city.

The new trainsets are spacious and go-through-units, which is very convenient during ruch hours.

Agree. Toronto needs another 2 lines in the downtown (south of Bloor) alone. A Downtown Relief Line and Queen Line are needed just for starters. Then we'd likely need the Eglinton LRT under construction to be upgraded to subway at some point. By that time, we'd likely need another 2 lines somewhere else.

Agree again. Even our nicest stations look rather depressing compared to stations in other cities around the world. Does everything have to be bare bones utilitarian? Why can't we have some place inviting or, God forbid, beautiful? To think that this is one of our renovated nice looking stations:

That's wishful thinking. Things in Toronto tends to be compromises rather than what should be built. Eglinton should be subway, but what makes sense doesn't mean that's what we will build.

They can cheaply build a relief line by using the existing GO corridor along the Don Valley to run express trains uptown, then stop throughout North York. No tunnels - just electrification, and force CN into a deal.

The Eglinton LRT is a fair compromise, the Eglinton subway was planned to only serve one side of town. That and the Scarborough "LRT" (Light Metro) are the only good compromise. Everything else...
