No, there will be two separated platforms for each bound. The existing centre platform that serve now both bounds will be refurbished and will serve the University bound with a wall dividing it from the Yonge bound track. These are some screenshoots I took from this PDF:

Refurbished centre platform University bound to Downsview

New second platform Yonge bound to Finch

supposed to open sometime in the spring.

also the trains don't have to be FRA compliant (they are as they were also sold in California), they have to be Transport Canada compliant, which although are essentially the same standards as the US, is a different agency with a couple of variations from my understanding.

Yes, I thought the platform would been open today, while it will be ready for Monday morning as saiho correctly said. Sorry for the mistake

Those trains will be sere the Union-Pearson rail link.
I was asking where those trains will be SERVICED, not what route they will have. I know they are purchased to serve the Airport link line.

There is a difference between words serve and service (maintenance).

They will be serviced at Willowbrook, at least until they are electrified. Then they get their own yard somewhere along the route. (I forget exactly where)

Then I apologize, I thought you were talking about the route they will have.

New TTC map combines subway and streetcar routes

Quote:
When the first of the new TTC streetcars hit the rails Aug. 31 a new map showing both streetcar and subway routes will begin to roll out. Historically, the TTC has resisted mixing streetcar and subway lines on its subway maps, partly for clarity.

Compared to Warsaw or Cracow, and their streetcar network, it's still not that impressive

Agreed, but from a North American perspective it's still the biggest and busier.
