Oops! My bad. Ilonggo ka man gali! I'm half Ilocano, half Ilonggo (Bacolod). I assumed that since your name was "Hawayano," you'd be of Ilocano descent since there are a lot of Ilocanos in Hawaii.

Check out the pic taken from City Hall...

Edmund (and everyone else in here)--yes, fascinating pictures, especially the one that shows the top of the former Legislative Bldg. all the way to what became Roxas Blvd. Can you spot the Luneta Hotel and the old Bayview Hotel? Here's but another reason to restore the Luneta Hotel to its original glory (not to mention that its design is based on Rizal's draft for a proposed school building). Sayang!

With "ji" as in hemorrhoids written in Hirigana its "chi" with dots instead of "shi",you know you dont normally put dots on "chi" right?
but when i was lookin' it up in the dictionary i was really surprisd because they'd write it with a dotted "shi"
also you know how they write "dolphin" as "sea pig" but using the same character for "pig" i wonder why "river pig" is read as "puffer fish"even though they live in the sea.....
