The best thing the Government done in the 1970s is disasembling all the walled ruins and assembling it, thats the true nature of restoration, plus reconnecting the missing parts with same matterials used , so we can now walk on top of the wall wandering its full stretch.

Same is done to Fort Santiago it never look so majestic since 1945 and reappeared its beauty just in 1981, the newly formed Intramuros administration even created a replica of Bahay na Bato the Casa Manila and its entire block.

Again most of the properties are privately owned after 1945 it would be easier if the sites are vacant lot and if the Govt had a lot of Money.

Wait until our country become 1st world.

What i Read about Iglesia de San Ignacio Ruin: ADMU will reconstruct the old exterior of the jesuit church, it is cheaper and will push thru since the old shell of the structure still exist.

The present Intramuros Administrator will make the Interior of the church as an Eclessiatical museum.......

" For me the I.A. must rebuild the church instead, there is a Huge huge religious museum in nearby San Agustin, So giving Justice to the structure true existance.

recreating an old church exterior and once you enter you will see a different thing
they must rather rebuild a true church as seen in pictures.

According sa plan ng ADMU at Intramuros administration we will not see this Interior of San Ignacio church, Only the Exterior , sayang they must make it a church instead so we can see the above pre war Interior. the wooden carvings, pulpit, Altar, and entire ceiling is made by the famous Filpino Sculptor Isabelo Tanpingco all of those lost in 1945

it has a taste of uniqueness his style pattern using Philippine ornaments when examining the details as found in Tanpingcos surviving works found elsewere.

building the interior will be expensive as than the exterior. i like what you suggest but if there is really no fund for it just make it something profitable like office or museum or commercial.

I agree. It seems pretty pointless spending money on rebuilding the church exterior only to turn the interior into an ...ecclesiastical museum?! Intramuros already has more than enough tasteless museums, they should concentrate their resources on rebuilding authentic buildings that are more likely to attract tourists.
I also think they should relocate that golfcourse elsewhere, there are a million other places in the Philippines to put them in, they don't have to be in Intramuros of all places!
