uhm sweetie, that is the Russian Orthodox Church in San Remo, in the Russian Revival Historical style. Nothing Italian about it except that it is situated on Italian soil.

lol...uhm no, actually it's Russian revival style in Italy, pretty obvious with the onion domes etc. You can find this type of church throughout Europe as the then Russian czarist aristocracy built them wherever they went on their lovely little holidays, especially at resort towns by the sea or thermal springs towns throughout Europe.

You'll also find one in Nice, or Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), or Mainz, or Weisbaden etc etc. Notice the trend here, why is there a Russian church in these famous resort towns? Well because after the Russian nobility bled the poor serfs of all their hard earned wealth, they went and partied in the most fashionable destinations of the day and of course after all that 'sinful' behaviour one needed to 'cleanse the soul' at the nearest church which couldn't be achieved at a 'heretic' Catholic house of worship...oh no can't do that, so hence they built their own places of worship. Hope that it all makes sense now.
