Excellent project! Still, why does this building need a plaza? It's a waste of space and would likely attract undesirable activity.

What is that ghastly warehouse-like building that says "East Bank Club"?

Thick black smoke pouring out of this right now - I can see a straight shot of it from my office on the 26th floor. Looks like the fire is near the roof.

East Bank Club is a health club. The large boxy buildings are indoor tennis courts.

One thing, you can’t say that Chicago’s high rises are monotonously the same. Every apartment building is a unique style, shape and appearance and here is another. It fits into the city skyline like a glove. Some of the city’s new buildings are in a contemporary style and very much of today whilst others hark back to the styles of the past, such as beaux arts, art deco and art moderne. This is what makes this city so exciting for architectural lovers.

Where in Chicago is this building located? In the Pictures I see it surrounded by highrises, but I can't figure out the location.

360 N Hubbard st, Chicago Il - River North across the street from the Athletic club.

In this shot (looking south) you can see the Carol st bridge in the background.

Here it is from a more familiar angle. Looking North from the Lake street El as it crosses the Chicago River.

360 Hubbard is just to the right of the Carol st bridge in this shot.

Thanks to both for the reply, I now realize that it is quite centrally located (that's still in The Loop, right?); It just happens to be in an intersection I've never been to.

Nope. Thats considerd downtown but not in the Loop. Anything in the vicinity north of the main brach of the Chicago river, west of the North branch, and west of Michigan Ave., and south of Chicago Aven is considered the River North neighborhood which is considered a subsection of downtown.

It appears that they are disassembling the climbing form.
