Sure. Essentially the Saudis will provide for the regional market Saudi Arabia isn't very large though at 30 million. Many of which aren't especially wealthy unlike the more ubiquiteous wealth of its smaller neighbors. That would be as if Lithuania claimed it was going to primarly depend on middle income Poland to provide many of the fans if it were to host. Most people would scoff at the idea.

30-40 million may sound like a large pool to draw from but it really isn't especially if many forigners from outside the region decide to skip this WC because they don't care to travere a country and sit games in 115*F heat for weeks on end or don't care to be herded like sheep in a pen in order to sit and have a beer.

To pay for air flights at peak time, eat out every day, stay at hotels for weeks on end, and buy expensive tickets for sporting events it definitely is an event for the wealthy (by world standards) and those with a good deal of disposable income. It definitely isn't for the middle and lower end incomes by world standards except for all but the most devoted football fans who may be willing to splurge.

If it were more affordable to do so every football fan would and there would never be a question of stadiums not filling up.

This Doha Port Stadium is is beautiful but I'm sure FIFA will reduce the number of stadiums in Doha. Since Qatar is a small country, the number of venues should be between 8 to 10.

Egyptians have no history whatsoever for traveling to competing

The entire Egyptian contingent present are ex-pats residing in Qatar.

So just what exactly does this image tell us?
Why did you include this image?
Just what point are you trying to bring across?

anyone can easily answer this question and get many points of it as following

1) International Friendly Match Between Brazil & Egypt in Qatar this November.

2) The Stadium one of Qatar world 2022 Stadiums.

3) any team play in Qatar will find fans supporting it with the diversity of the population there.

4) Qataris always eager to host international & friendly matches.

5) Brazil fans knew that their lovely team play every year at this time in Qatar as usual.

oh this very old match more than 1 year and half for non international friendly match and there was fans in stadium it is capacity near 60,000 . it is seems your big nose is closing your eyes of see things clearly man when I said Qatari's I was mean (Qatari's as organizers) they eager to host big sport events in their country to change bad habit of Qatari citizens (they like watch league or international matches on TV) every time organizers bring events to Qatar they raise attendance as we saw recently local league attendance average started raise and recently AFC gave Qatar clubs 4 seats in the Asian Clubs Championship as Korea & Japan have 4 seats for each and Saudi have 3.5 seats Australia 2 seats I think this country is on the right track and every person knew football and his nose not closing his eyes he can feel how Qatari (organizers) will change their country soon to better.

Personally I was surprised Qatari club (Al Sadd) won the Asia Clubs Championship and will play the World Club Championship next month.

When friendly matches in England get 50,000 that's deemed a poor crowd. Real footballing nations come out for matches big or not. I get that FIFA wants to grow the Game all around the world, but starting from this low a base? I'm not convinced.

another success for Qatari that British started compare their self's with Qatar

England over 51.5 Millions person Qatar 1.6
51.5/1.6= 32 .... 32 times larger

80,000 fans/ 32 = 2500 fans should be in Qatar !!!

Qatar Average attendance is much higher than 2500 person of course Qatari's (organizer) working seriously to change this soon

Hence the reason the world cup shouldn't be hosted by Qatar.

Frustration from the failure of your country is not due to Qatar.
Australia got only one vote and came out of the first round because the old man Frank Lowy who spent millions of dollars on silly cartoon film to be presentation for Australia bid even England voted to USA

Think you will find most Aussies agree they didn't have the best bid, and their video sucked. They do think however the USA had the best bid, and the host of a WC should be determined by something other than blatant bribery

Agree. Our video sucked balls. In hindsight, the USA probably should have got the nod.

insider2010: I hope you honestly don't believe that Qatar won the hosting rights on merit? It was shifty dealings & nothing else that got the 2022 hosting rights.

Bin Hammam banned due run against Blatter and offering financial gifts to caribbean If we consider Bin Hamam realy did this and this is a bribe in the concept of FIFA. I can remind you guys of another clear bribe but not belong to FIFA presidential election (between Blatter or Bin Hamam) it is belong to World Cup bid 2022 when FIFA opened investigation with the Australian Federation for providing gifts and jewelry for FIFA members wives and the investigation result has considered the jewelry is just expensive gifts not bribes !!! to avoid embarrassment to banned the Australian Federation Which followed later by the resounding loss of 2022 bid. Bin Hamam if convicted he acted exactly as the Australian Federation both should be banned not bin hamam only.

Bribery will always be there, however it takes alot of effort to pull a major win this way and not leave any trails behind not to mention making sure everything is clean and tidy

Stages of the voting to World Cup 2022

from these stages we can see clearly how things went

Round1: Qatar has 11 votes
Round2: Qatar lost vote to be 10 votes !! (Qatar lost one vote to USA Evidence integrity For Qatar)
Round3: Qatar back to 11 votes (Gain new vote of Japan Exit one voter of 2 preferred Qatar on USA & Korea)
Round4: Qatar got 3 new votes of 5 (These countries were in row of Korea Preferred Qatar on USA and promoted the big difference)

The consensus is clear how the strong preference of Qatar bid since the beginning and was very strongly reinforced during the exit countries we knew Germany following the defeat of Australia preferred Qatar on the rest it is not easy to gain such this huge support against a strong competitor like USA but we thank all our friends in those countries that have supported us

How many Hotel Rooms does Qatar have today?

Edit
A little over 10K.
I don't worry about the stadiums i'm sure they will be fantastic but more the overall infrastructure needed.
