Your Eminem and Royce link is Hip Hop, in fact I think Royce Da 5'9 has been at his best in the last couple of years, I'd argue that he is the better out of the two in the Bad Meets Evil album.
There is some awesome new hip hop out man. Check out Wale and J.Coles latest albums I think you would like them. Also, if you're into mixtapes here is a good link for all the latest, as well as free downloads.

Been listening to A$AP Rocky like crazy, check him out too.

Yea, it's a bit outrages to see some people have described lil wayne's songs ain't real hip hop (in fact he's been described as one of the most successful and talented rappers in the hip hop/rap music history.

I know... it is a bit mean, but to people who were real hip-hop purists back in the day (like me), the endless onslaught of shite you are posting both here and in the 'what are you listening to?' thread is bordering on offensive.

Anyway, I've just put on Public Enemy 'Fear of a Black Planet' to try to drive away the aural car-crash that is your musical taste.

It's unfair to expect you to be into music that is no doubt older than you are, but do yourself a favour and download some Public Enemy, NWA, Gang Starr, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul... or if you want some decent 1990's UK stuff from before 'hip-hop' was mainstream, Ruthless Rap Assassins, Hijack, Katch 22, Silver Bullet, Krispy 3, Caveman, Black Radical MkII

You have to bear in mind that once upon a time hip-hop was political, it was the voice of Black youth on both sides of the pond... Public Enemy lyrics reflect a struggle against authority and a history of discrimination and slavery... now it all just seems to be bragging about bitches and money

I fucking wish.

I just know a girl who looks quite a lot like her.

Unfortunately she's Australian.

This thread would be a lot more believable if it wasn't for the use of autotune on most of the songs.

Real rappers should NOT use autotune.

Maybe they all have Motor neurone disease, and need the assistance of technology to spit their lyrics?
