I think everybody spend so much time in pointing out other countries' problems that they don't have time to figure out that they also have a LOT, and maybe bigger.

But perhaps the Germans must take over ownership of Ansaldo Breda with good German management - just look at the massive difference it made to Lamborghini!

By the way, I am not European but a proud African! We have a lot a problems in Africa and will soon be in even more problems because of the European crisis. Europe is struggling to buy African goods and the people paying for the bad political structures of Europe and the Euro will be the developing countries.

AnsaldoBreda is reported to be not able to put the V250 back on service within the 90-day period it was given by SNCB and NS.

Apparently unforeseen technical issues of unpredictable nature are preventing a firm evaluation of why have the trains failed under snow condition it had been tested and approved for after extensive runs in some Czech test course.

It is not known when the trains will be back on service, unfortunately. Hopefully the engineers find a last-minute breakthrough, because SNCB is threatening to return the trains and sue for € 48 million in damages, and NS management is also losing patience. I'm mentioning the companies because HSA is under a blank "intervention" by its parent companies.

The V250 had everything to be one of the best high speed train in Europe, but now its reputation has been tarnished.

To make matters worse, this extra delay will prevent AB from bidding for the relatively large order for Brazil's HSR project.

I know you have a financial interest in that company but... You rip what you sow. They problably tried saving money in quality certification, in engineering or in whatever the process that has led to all these problems. Now there's even a chance the company might disappear, who on earth would want to buy any train from them? It's a risky gamble, you might be getting trains you won't be able to use and your electors might be angry for wasting money on something that doesn't work.

Last info I have is that NS requested from Pro Rail a set of 16 paths in 2014
to run again an hourly Brussels-Amsterdam service via the classic line.

The writing seems to be on the wall...

The following train paths have been requested so far:
- NS: Amsterdam - Brussels via HSL-Zuid, 16x day
- NS: Amsterdam - Brussels via The Hague, 16x day
- The Hague Trains Holding: The Hague Central - Brussels via Roosendaal, 16x day

Requested train paths that turn out to be unnecessary can be cancelled up until a few months before the new timetable comes into effect. Depending on the status of the V250 rolling stock, either the paths over The Hague or those over HSL-Zuid will probably be cancelled.

The city of The Hague has announced that they are intended to go forward with their plans, regardless of the future of the Beneluxtrein and the V250. This means that we might very well see two conventional international trains per hour between The Hague and Brussels in the 2014 timetable.

jeanrobergiacomin is the usual troll who in the past wrote under the nicks of Jean Marie de La Fayette, Effetto Fuffas , Oh Signora mia, etc., for about 14-15 successive reincarnations.

In the last two days jeanrobergiacomin has already appeared in several threads with his usual obsessions. One of the threads he has opened:

on the international forum, has already been closed.

For "a newcomer" you are quite revealing..

You are definitely the usual Jean Marie de La Fayette, and his subsequent reincarnations,.. and with the usual obsessions.......all too well known to the Italian forumers.

Hello.

Looks like the Fyra in Holland has had another new problem.

International trains donīt run, but there are internal Fyra services in Holland.
Which keep on having problems.

In these infos from Wednesday we can see the evacuation of a train Rotterdam-Amsterdam that had a breakdown in Zoetermeer, in the middle of the track with more than 400 passengers. The incident ended up in a delay of more than 2h30min.

Evacuations have happened more often in the past, we're kinda used to that by now. It happens once every month, on average.

The longest time it took to evacuate a Fyra was over 4 hrs...

My compliments, you have opened a topic to attack just because a company is Italian! The usual racist stereotypes mixed with jealousy. This is the reality!
German or Dutch French companies are 101% perfect, never had any problems in building cars, trains or nuclear power plants!

It wasn't a V250 so this doesn't supposed to be here in this thread. The V250 aren't in service at the moment.
The dutch and belgium railways will decide the fate off the V250 in June.

Well, either the management of Ansaldo Breda is grossly incompetent or grossly corrupt but I think it is probably both. I'm sorry to say this but the track record of Ansaldo Breda the last decade is astonishingly bad, so bad in fact that if it wasn't for even more astonishingly bad public tendering on the customer side, this company would have seized to exist by now.

They have a solid record on signaling systems and the ETR1000 project is going just fine. They also manufacture subways cars and trams which are doing just fine (except for a minor issue with a Swedish contract).

ETR1000 was designed entirely by Bombardier, AB are just assembling it.

If they managed to get something wrong with that, well that'd just be spectacular
