Well, not exactly. Many EE countries are OECD members, which means they belong to a club of world's most developed countries. Of course you can say that they're generally still less developed than WE, but some of them (like Slovenia) are pretty comparable.

Well parts of them
GDP 56 billion
but per capita about 23,000, so that's good.

If you mean foreign tourists, there were 1,869,106 in Slovenia in 2010 according to statistical office. Here are top 10 countries in 2010. France and Spain have more foreign tourists per capita than Slovenia, while USA, China, Italy, UK, Turkey, Germany, Malaysia, and Mexico have less.

That's not surprising. China is a huge nation; you can't expect 1.3 billion foreigners to visit it annually. US is also much larger than Slovenia and only borders low-populated Canada and not-so-rich Mexico.

sorry, forgot about Chinas population.

Bled and Bohinj looks so beautiful

Not to to be mean, but I always heard the Balkans was some of the most poorest regions in Europe. (after Moldova)

It is, but not Slovenia, which lies on the edge of the Balkan Peninsula anyway. Greece was also fine until recently, so the only richer territory is that tiny Balkan part of Italy (Trieste), if we include it in the Balkans (more geographic definition).

The problem is that Slovenia is small and not well-known.

Actually "always" is not quite right. "Since WW2" might be a better description, as this west vs east classification is a child of the cold war. Prague and Vienna were two major cities in the same country before 1918 for centuries.

Otherwise I agree with you. Europe is hard to grasp and there are many different lines of division of all sorts, religious, language, legal, cultural, historical etc. At the same time there are equally many characteristics many share. No regional classification will be a perfect description of reality. That is why you can't cut Europe simply into east vs west.

The OP actually seems to be talking of "orthodox Europe" vs the rest.

Russians do not consider themselves europeans at all, they want to be reffered to as russians only.
Really? Actually I have no idea how Russians view themselves. But those who I know never were terribly eager to pronounce that they are non-European. Not that this was ever an issue either so far.

So talking about europe is something done mostly by people living outside Europe.

Europe is so diverse both geographicly and culturally so trying to unite the continent either by a union or a currency will result in a fail.
I disagree. You made a point of the heterogeneity of Europe, but you ignored the many commonalities.
