Yeah it will be cool but what's the point na mageextend ang LRT kung dun ang daan nun.

Possibly kung san dumadaan yung mga jeep na papuntang Zapote road. I forgot the name of that street eh.

Hopefully malinis din nila yung bay area at tanggalin nila yung mga basura dun. Tsaka preserve nila yung mga bakawan dun as this will be first line of defense against tsunamis. Meron din isang area dun sa Coastal Road. kalapit lang sa tapunan ng basura. Kapag dumadaan ako dun, grabe ang baho kahit nasa aircon na bus ka pa. Sana maayos nila yun.

but it would have destroyed the view for others... if it was at-grade, then it would have been good.

My mistake. From the picture illustrated in the LRTA website, LRT would pass by Coastal Road.

Here's the photo from the LRTA website.

I think it may pass.. pero hindi buong coastal road ang dadaanan(Sorry no breathtaking view ). The line between MIA road (which i think yung road na katabi ng Coastal Mall) and Asia World (Ito ata yung bago dumating dun sa tollgate) is still part of Coastal Road. Could anyone verify this?

Cavite road proponent signs P3.5-b loan pact

Cavite road proponent signs P3.5-b loan pact
http://www.manilastandardtoday.com/?...s02_aug28_2006

By Elaine Ruzul S. Ramos

UEM-MARA Philippines Corp. (UMPC) has secured a P3.5-billion syndicated term loan facility from several local banks to finance the expansion of the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway from Baclaran to Kawit, Cavite.

Jennifer Bote, executive vice president and general manager of UEM-MARA, told the Standard Today late on Friday that proceeds of the loan facility would entirely go to the construction of the seven-kilometer extension that would connect what was formerly known as the R-1 Expressway from Baclaran to Kawit.

The loan facility is payable in eight years, including a grace period of two and a half years. It will be priced every six months at MART 1 rates.

Bote said proponents of the project were also pumping in an equity amounting to P1.5 billion to finance the project.

“With financing available, we expect full-blast construction of the tollway to begin on Oct. 1. It would take about 18 months to complete this particular segment,” she said, adding that construction was already in progress even before the loan facility was signed last Friday.

Development Bank of the Philippines and BDO Capital and Investment Corp. were joint arrangers of the loan facility. The other participating lenders were Chinabank, Equitable PCI Bank and UnionBank. CLSA was tapped as financial adviser for the facility.

A security sharing agreement was also signed among the lenders at the Continental Room of the Tower Club in Makati City.

Bote said the project, which would cover 11.3 km, would be completed by the last quarter of 2008. The seven-km extension connecting Baclaran to Kawit is covered by segment 4 of the project. Segment 5 will connect Kawit to Noveleta, also in Cavite, extending the toll road by another 4.3 km.

“This is one of the flagship projects identified by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in her last State-of-the-Nation Address. Apart from addressing the heavy traffic problems in this part of Metro Manila, this project would also facilitate faster movement of goods from the Calabarzon into other parts of the country,” she said.

“This project, which is 11 years in the making, can finally come to fruition. This will not only decongest Metro Manila but will also reinforce Cavite as an alternative growth hub in the country,” said Reynaldo David, president and chief executive officer of DBP.

Bote said the 11-year delay was brought about by right-of-way acquisition problems.

UMPC chairman Cesar Virata said the project, which would improve transport capabilities in that corridor, was a joint venture between the private sector and government.

“This project has the full support of the Arroyo administration. Even the financing is also a joint venture between DBP, which is a government-owned corporation, and a number of banks from the private sector,” Virata said.

help?
Yes it will lessen your travel time from Makati to Gen. Trias passing on this coastal road, the exit will be in Kawit, Cavite. This road will lead you to Bacao (the other side of CEPZA), sa end ng road na ito you will find Petron gas station left turn ka doon papunta ito Malabon... diretso lang yan ang labas nito ay sa SMC Monterey... Gen. Trias na yan. Pero pangit ang daan dyan.

Mas maganda pa mag expressway or daang hari molino

Expressway project gets tax perks

http://business.inquirer.net/money/b...icle_id=109796

By Ronnel Domingo
Philippine Daily Inquirer
First Posted 04:09pm (Mla time) 01/01/2008

MANILA, Philippines – Two transportation-related projects worth P5.73 billion have qualified for tax breaks and other perks, according to the Board of Investments.

BOI documents show that all-Filipino firm UEM-Mara Philippines Corp. is investing in a P5.55-billion segment of the Manila-Cavite Roll Expressway project.

The 21-kilometer MCTEP consists of three phases: the Coastal Road led, Coastal Road extension and the Coastal Road-C5 Road link.

UEM-Mara will build the Coastal Road Extension segment, which is a 7-km, two-lane road linking Zapote and Kawit in Cavite.

Manila-Cavite toll expressway construction gets incentives

By Max de Leon
Reporter

WITH its huge impact in the growth of investments and industries in the Cavite and nearby areas, the P5.5-billion project of UEM-Mara Philippines Corp. for the construction of a big portion of the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project (MCTEP) has been granted full incentives by the government.

UEM-Mara will construct the 7-kilometer dual two-lane R1 Extension Expressway Segment 4 (Zapote-Kawit) of the MCTEP.

It is the second of the three phases of works under the 35-year Toll Operation Agreement with Toll Regulatory Board.

The whole MCTEP project is comprised of a 21-km toll expressway consisting of three phases—the Phase 1-R1 Expressway (Coastal Road), the Phase 2-R1 Extension and the Phase 3- C5 Link Expressway.

The expressway, once fully operational in January 2009, will provide a major link from Manila to the province of Cavite.

The Board of Investments (BOI) approved the grant of incentives to the project, as it falls under the heading Physical Infrastructure-Development of Tollroads and Highways-Projects under built-operate-transfer law, as amended by RA 7718.

The BOI, in granting full fiscal and nonfiscal incentives to the project which include income-tax holidays, said the MCTEP is in line with the administration’s agenda for the creation of a logistics system that will facilitate the decongestion of Metro Manila by ensuring efficient linkages between its business centers and nearby provinces.

The project will also relieve the financial and administrative burden of the government on infrastructure projects, thus allowing more allocation to other much-needed projects.

“It has a strong and positive impact on investments in Cavite, particularly in industry and will accelerate the rate of economic growth of the highway corridor,” the BOI said.

The project will generate 320 new jobs for Filipino workers.
