susmaryosep! Do they even know how hellish the traffic is in Cavite?!

talaga ....DUH!!!

Well I think most (not all) of the rubble along the shores of Cavite came from the notoriously undisciplined and polluted metropolis called National Capital Region...

The fishermen could be legal residents of Rosario, Cavite City, etc. and not informal settlers...

It can be said that this could be collateral damage --- part of industrialization? These fisherfolks could be relocated to continue with their agricultural spirit.

What the!kaya nga naiinis ako sa mga ganyang grupo kung saan isang project na milyong pilipino ang makikinabang eh lalabanan ng mga ilang libong maapektohan!

Sino ang importante ang milyon milyong Pilipino o libo libo! hay naku

Well, as what the borg says, "Resistance is Futile"

Certainly millions of us Caviteños have been suffering the monstrous traffic which beats MetroManila by 10 to 5 IMO! Although I understand their sentiments, there are some things that needs to be compromised in order for the benefit of the majority of the public and not some...

It will be their fault (those activists and talaba/tahong fisherfolks) if Cavite's traffic situation got worse. Sana isipin din nila ang kapakanan ng karamihan ng mga Caviteño as we have enough of the traffic situation!

The government can do something like a new livelihood program and the like (for those who will be affected), but for those who resist the construction of the new Expressway shall damn the rest of the province into retrogression.

One thing about some militant groups is that they are seemingly myopic and consumed with so much idealism that they are leaving the forefronts of reality. Yes, there might be "tong-pats" in the project, kelan naging hindi? But risking the reclamation project is madness!

Yes, these fishing villages are incorporated into the barangays. Like the Longos Taylan community in Bacoor.

Kuha ko from KoreanAir flight pabalik MNL (using my LEICA C-Lux1 camera), sensya sobra taas namin kaya malabo (cloudy din) kase nag 5 ikot kme bago mag-land to Naia1.
Obviously, yung stretch ng Manila-Cavite Expressway ay natambakan na towards Kawit shores (near Island cove). Concrete roads nalang at small bridges ang gagawin pa....

Is it? I think it's not. I just wish for them to quickly build it! The project's been there for so long. I just hope that it will not be extended until PGMA's last months.

See? In one way or another, it will end up tipping-off on PGMA's farewell on 2010. Well, I'm not skeptical or pessimistic about this project. It's just that they always fail what they had promised.

Nevertheless, I am really excited 'bout this project!

I don't think you can really get them to finish this project right away, first of, they are reclaiming the land and somehow they really needed to wait til it really sits in or something. But once it is finished it would be one of the nicest expressway in the Philippines with a very nice view of the ocean. It would be really awesome once it's finished.

Hehehe. In fact, when you would also consider the original plan for this road, it would have started since the 1920's. Daniel Burnham's plan was a road along Manila Bay, which is Roxas Blvd. up to Cavite and Batangas. So you see, that's how plans work into fruition.
