New York in the Fall ....Spectacular (In HD)

Plenty of threads about New York... but hopefully this one adds something more...they say Fall is the best of times to visit New York ..... this is what I saw:

Yes, I can tell is fall, plenty of leaves on the walkways...

Central Park With glorious Fall colors:

[/URL]

The city looks good across the lake...

An the bridges of Central Park are really beautiful:

From the park you can see the towers of some of the skyscrapers bordering the park on the upper Westside of the city:

I suspect in this forums everybody wants to see skyscrapers... so here are a few bordering the park:

These Time Warner towers have a nice shopping center at the ground level... lets get inside after this photo...

And that is how it looks inside:

Kind of nice... let's see another one...

Across the street a pretty peculiar skyscraper:

It is getting dark... the city turns on their lights....

Nearby at Times Square the towers are already all lit up:

And the throngs of tourists invade the streets:

Another day... and time to visit Lower Manhattan:

Oh yeah, the new towers at ground zero are starting to look impressive:

As seen from the financial center building across the street:

Nearby... Ghery tower in all it's glory:

such a special building... deserves another picture:

Time to hit the Brooklyn Brige... a real classic of New York:

Really beautiful:

And what is the view from top of the bridge?... here it is:

And whatt's at the end of the bridge?... Brooklyn!!! here is one view:

And another Brooklyn shot:

Another day and time to visit the Guggenheim Museum in the Upper Eastside:

What's inside?... anew exhibit/ installation by an Italian artist :

My opinion is that the central space should be clear as Frank Lloyd Wright envisioned it... but I guess they wanted to have something new and different:

And another view:

Lastly, upon leaving the museum another view from a different angle:

Once outside the museum I find a Fall fair next door... how exiciting!!!!

A berry Go Round!!!, my favorite ride!!!, you should all get to try it at least once....

Time to move on and hit skyscrapers... lots of them.... that is what New York is all about:

And another one:

And yet another one, this one a rather famous one:

Give me more, yes:

Some oldies but nice:

Some really wll illuminated:

New York is all Building density and building muscle:

Anyways, will stop now to see how the Internet handles the picture sizes...
I have a lot more... maybe in page two I post a lot more.

So You Love the Ghery's Tower....

Here are some more... by the way you can tell I loved it too....

Funny enough, for some reason the South facade is totally plain:

Corner shot:

And from the Brooklyn's Bridge...

I'm normally not big on shock-value "novelty" towers... but this one is very sophisticated, and very subtle. It tweaks the mind a little bit.... without hitting us over the head with a sledgehammer.

Thanksgiving in New York..

Nothing better than stopping at MAcy's, world's largest store (that is what they say)...

En route to Macy's, passing the illuminated Empire States building:

Getting closer to Macy's:

Almost there...

Stores' grand entrance:

People watching the elaborate window displays:

They combine elaborate digital imaging, sound and mechanical displays:
