yea, but instead they (europe im saying, america is a bit more ugly like iran) have such amazing cities that a small thing like this wont ruin it
eg compare a city like gorgan to a city its size in europe, like strasbourg in france which has roughly the same pop, then u see the difference |

Thinking that this building is ugly is different from saying that Iranians are out of touch with "reality." As if the Western reality is Iran's reality!!! This building is not bad for a city of 200k people in a developing country. |

There is a building in the rural heartland of england like the one in Gorgan, it has no relation to its local environment and built with the same intentions as the one in Gorgan, the restaurant has since closed due to fire regulations.

No one is giving up their identity and no one has an inferiority complex. I'm all for original Iranian design, but there is a lot we can learn from outside of Iran - And I don't mean only the West. Look at Japan, South Korea and even China who have maintained their own cultures and at the same time borrowed from the outside world to create something unique and modern. That has always been my argument: Iran should be open to the outside world and its ideas. We shouldn't be inward looking like we have been for the past odd years.
