I completely agree with you. It was a bad decision, and to me it now looks more and more like an airport control tower (or that hideous Malm÷ Arena). What a shame. The overall design is still cool, but this almost ruins it...

I agree. It still looks cool and massive though

Busses coming to the Docklands in August. A light rail extension has still not been decided yet.

Marina House is completed as the first building in the area, and the first residents will move in on Friday: http://www.building-supply.dk/articl...ealer_i_aarhus

The first people have moved into their apartments and the first snow this winter has now made its entry at the Docklands too:

The sales of Z-huset is not going too good. Not a single apartment has been sold since August 2011. It's really a no-brainer. They need to start construction before people will buy. The strategy has been wrong from the beginning but I suppose they burned their fingers with the original Z-huset in 2008 and have since become less risk willing.

From these renderings it seems like Z-Huset has been redrawn once again. Does anyone know if this i the case?

It is just the journalist that is incompetent. It is really horrible that local journalists do not even know these facts. The rendering is one of the competition entries that did not win and as far as I remember the rendering was made by Arkitema. They even showed the wrong rendering at large in the paper edition.

EDIT: Stiften has got their rendering right: http://stiften.dk/aarhus/ingen-koebe...eri-paa-havnen

Allright, that was a fine solution though. Very clean cut.

Yes, it's test run. Aarhus Sporveje has eleven new 15m(!!) Solaris Urbino 15.
Midttrafik will make a new line 33 to docklands. In future line 3A can be extended and takeover 33.

Thanks for the photos. While I still believe CEBRA's Grundfos Kollegiet and Marina House are rather uninteresting to say the least, then on the other hand Arkitema's Zero House 1 are turning out quite good.

Nice update

Also nice to see that they removed soil to start pilling and construction of basement under building L at Lighthouse. A bit funny that nothing official from the constructors have been released about contruction-start of building L. Anybody knows something?
