CTBUH lists this one still as Proposed, and says that it's due for completion in 2016 so I'd say that it's still in the pipeline.

Wait I'm confused, I know CTBUH is often quite slow for things like this but usually cancelled buildings are at least listed as Visions and not still as Proposed... It'd be a pity to see this one go!

It's not officially dead in the sense that the government has claimed it's dead. Given shifting priorities by the government (Metro, Canal Expansion, Arts City, Cinta Costera 3), it is highly unlikely this tower will be completed, as in <10% chance at this point. The land is still there and the buildings on the site were already demolished but after that, there has been little progress. You make the call on whether it's dead or not.

It was my understanding that the plot of land where the tower was to be built was given over to the Trust which administers St. Thomas Hospital and the Children's Hospital (located next to the plot of land) by the government to build further health care facilities, meaning if the project did go ahead, it would have to be relocated to another plot of land. Is that still the case?
