TORONTO | Ten York | 224m | 65 fl | Pro

2012 redesign. Original design below:

-----------------------------------------------------

New project by wallman architects and tridel developments!

Ten York will be Toronto's second tallest condo, unless you count Trump and its cheating spire!

note: to avoid confusion, there will be fins on the building, contrary to the final posted render.

in the classic lake view, this will appear to be Toronto's tallest building.

Imagine people's surprise when they find out it's only 5th tallest despite looking tallest.

I like it, especially the boxes of light. It'll look good on the skyline and is something different. Plus it looks quite thin so it will look extra tall

The title should be changed... the project is officially named "Ten York", not "10 York Street".

Good height! Interesting that this will appear to be the tallest building from the lake skyline view. Any renderings from that POV?

Toronto will have the 3rd best skyline in North America after New York City and Chicago

And by 2020, we will probably top Chicago too

I'd say it already is by quite a wide margin.

Courtesy of Canadian National

It really exemplifies how far from the lake the CBD is. First Canadian Place is 50 m taller than this proposal, but it's many blocks north of the waterfront. Once the waterfront fills out, that traditional image of Toronto will likely disappear forever. I just hope these new towers are as good or better than the ones they'll obscure from view.

Quite a good design. It reminds me of the Toren, except like 4X bigger.

Another site has this at 253 m. Which is correct?

This has been increased to 253m, and with a small design change. can a mod change that, as well as changing the title to "Ten York"
