Iran should only deal with China. We should immidietly get some HQ-9s and break a deal with them for drone tech. We need an engine for our Sofre Mahi drone.

nope, they decided not to sell it under American pressure. They do still provide us with some state of the art radars but that's basically it. We don't do that many deals actually.

As of now S300 is of no use for Iran.Israel and US know S300 inside out possibly with the help from the East European countries and they do have a very strong counter productive measures against S300.

Iran already has developed Bavar-373 which is believed to be as good as S300 but with a bit of surprises which will keep US and Israel guessing about its capabilities.

What Iran could possibly do is struck a deal with the China given the recent deployment of US troops in Australia which has given US more access to the South China sea and made the red dragon more angry and nervous.

Right now China is more desperate to get hands on anything that undermines US military capability.

Dont think so HQ-9s are that worth.It is just a Chinese version of S300.Maybe Iran should struck a deal with Chinese on the naval front given the vast advancement China has made on that part.

Russia backed and did not sell S300 unit itself but I think they sold the technology behind it. You can see clearly that Bavar-373 looks exactly like the as S300 and even government tells that Bavar going to be exactly good as Russian ditto, that’s makes you think.

China has little experience to copy and build the enemy military machines. But Russia and the United States since the Cold War spying at each other and stole information with help of their KGB and the CIA. Have it a lot.

Maybe but you must remember that China are in big need of nature recourses too. They have nukes and are not so scared or worry. Therefore in case of invasion of Iran I think China could make a deal with US that after invasion of your country they take Iran’s nature recourses and split it 50 to 50. Believe me it could happen if it wasn’t for Russia. Because Russia and Iran sharing Caspian Sea full of rich recourses and not least Russia sees Iran as a geopolitical partner. Its like you goto a shop to buy a Vacuum cleaner and pay the whole money for it and then instead of giving you the Vacuum cleaner the shopkeeper says that he will be selling you the "technology" behind it and not the Vacuum cleaner.Will you accept it ??

As far as I am concerned I surely ain't that dumb to accept the offer.

The technology behined Bavar-373 is surely S300 based but it was not obtained from Russia.It was obtained from Ukraine and Belarus who were desperate need of cash in late 1990 and early 2000.

You are totally wrong in this.With your claim I think this is a horrible stereotype for the chinese defence industry which was true decades ago.

A country who can indigenously build an aircraft carrier,can send a man in space,can successfully destroy an incoming missile beyond the Earth's atmosphere only after United States surely does not sound like inexperienced to me.

I totally agree that right now China is much weaker to United States in terms of military power but it has surpassed Russia for sure.Russia is still finding it difficult to maintain the old Soviet arsenal.

Given the rate at which China is building its military and air power I am totally confident that by 2020 China and US will be neck to neck in terms of military power.

The Russians are too weak as an ally with Iran.They're too fickle in many respects specially when it comes to dealing with the West.They're happy to cut deals with the west and chicken out when they can't stand the heat.

Iran has a huge military, doing "sarbaz" is mandatory here if you don't go to the university, "daneshgah". The government spends alot on military purposes, recently they started a 10 year naval drill in the Persian Gulf also.
