Really interesting to see these "normal" looking areas that many people are not aware of.

Everything looks in its place, tidy and modern. Questions that spring to mind, does it have high rates of insecurity if any? Are there poor people? homeless people?

Interesting to see some denser and more urban areas of Dubai that are hardly ever shown. Although their architecture is spectacular, I don´t really like Dubai´s prominent skyscraper areas because of their total lacking of any streetlife and urban infrastructure, which seems like a repetition of America´s and western Europe´s terrible urban planning mistakes of the 1960s and 1970s in larger scale. I hope that Dubai one day manages to make the skyscraper areas more dense and urban too.

Dubai is almost crime-free city, and I haven't seen any poor Emirati nationals . Emirati nationals in general enjoy much higher economic/physical living standards than anything I saw in Europe and Australia with their SUPER BIG houses, very high salary level , more choices of restaurants, hypermarkets, etc. but there are many poor migrants from South Asia and Southeast Asia, many of them living in poorly-maintained flats .

Emm "Dubai's Skyscraper areas"- u mean Sheikh Zayed Road ? Streetlife for pedestrians is limited during daytime due to non-stop sunlight but many of Dubai's malls , hypermarkets etc are along the road .

Most of Dubai is traditional - they are extremely lively and charming. I must say that nothing in my travels can beat the old charm of Dubai .

Dubai is LAST place on earth we can ever call "Fake". I've ben to Dubai for 7 times and I kept returning mainly because I deeply love the hospitality of people in Dubai ( both Emiratis and expats ) and its wonderful traditional charm

Skyprince, thanks for your explanation. Dubai's skyline looks from another planet.
