Scale Model City
This is going to be my 3rd project. The First one is Dasnai, and the second is I'm building Russian Sam's Oklahoma City.
This city will consist of real model buildings from SSC. It is 1:2000 scale and will be about 260+ buildings and 4 bridges. I made some calculations and the board is around 3.5 square kilometers. Plans basically are for the big bend to be supertall land and everything else 100-299m. First buildings are Freshwater Place North and US Bank Tower. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is also the city I will enter into the ScalemodelSketchup City Contest. |

Awesome mini-city. That father has done with dedication, good luck in their development, I hope to see it finished. BRAVO
I love the relationship as vegetation and buildings. It's great.

I've wanted to do something similar with my buildings (and that wonderful modeling board you've used for the land). I completely agree that the vegetation really plays off its surroundings as well. I can't wait to see this completed! Way to go!

Actually Its just this big piece of wood and I glued some foam and cardstock on it.
I'm thinking that I want to do a How to Make A City write-up in the next few weeks so mabey that will help you. ![]() Oh and also for everyone, when I say *added to my build list* that building will go in this city. Last edited by SWFC fan; December 9th, 2011 at 07:21 PM. |

I saw the wood, was just referring to the foam board you used for the land. I used to have piles and piles of the stuff growing up, but it all got destroyed by flooding
I think I'm going to take a small trip to the crafts store in a little bit and pick some more up and get some of that wonderful vegetation material. I would be honored to have IP featured in this city

This is looking so cool! It makes me think of Sim City. I had gone to the craft store too late today not leaving me much time to get back to go to work tonight, and saw that it was a madhouse and since I would've never got out in time, I had to turn right back around and head home. Soon though!

Beautiful.
The second picture reminds me of the Flatiron Building in NYC. Just in modern style. |
