This tower is, okay... It could have better materials, and they could have certainly been far worse. It may look great completed. Here is a night shot of the progress from last Wednesday.

It's nice filler. 15 years ago, this area was a dump, and it's still located across from a massive, multi-tower housing project.

That is very quick. Last summer it was still barely above ground level.
I like it. It is tall, slender and not an over the top design.

It could be t/o, if you compare it to 3 Lincoln Center Condominiums ( 181m )

I didn't realize that this tower, which is absolutely lost in NYC's sea of towers, is 600 feet tall. It would be a major addition to the skyline in practically any other city in the Americas or Europe.

Indeed. Only city in those regions I can think of where this wouldnt be very significant is Chicago. Goes to show the density of this city. Isnt there another ~150m building slated to go up very close to this one?

I agree. Even in most parts of Chicago it would stand out.

By the way, is there much going on in Singapore? A decade ago, Singapore and KL seemed roughly equalIn terms of the size of their skylines, but KL now seems to be growing much faster, despite the fact that Singapore seems to be more of an international, regional finance center.

Theres a few large projects going up in Singapore but things have slowed markedly in the past few years. Mind you Singapore's core is largely built out like NYC and Chicago. KL is definitely building more right now but Malaysia is still largely third world so its only natural that KL is building more. I was there last year for business and while it still has a long way to go, its definitely on the up and up.
