A random trip in southern Paris

Follow me in this random walk.
We will see as monuments well... nothing but all this thread average non touristy Paris.

1. We begin in this small alley of the 14th arrondissement close to Alesia

2.

3.

4. An high school

5.

6.

7. Tour Montparnasse on the distance

8. Rosa Park Sports Complex

9.

10.

11.

12.

13. Entrance of Pernety metro station, on the line 13. Unlike in London metro entrance inside building are few in Paris. Those were mostly built in the 1930's.
Pernety opened in 1937 with the line 14 wich merged with the line 13 in 1976

14. Who said that inner Paris didn't have any high-rises housing complex.

15.

16.

17.

18. Plaisance

19.

20.

21. We can see a TGV bound to Montparnasse terminal located one kilometer further.

22.

23. Saint-Joseph hospital

24.

25.

26.

27. Porte de Vanves

28. I heard that this housing estate is a hotspot for drugs in southern Paris

29.

30.

31. Tramway line T3, before there were no Carrefour in inner Paris, it was only hypermarket located in suburbs but since the group acquired Champion supermarket chain.

32.

33.

34.

35.

36.

37. The busy Porte d'Orleans, terminal station of the metro line 4 and many bus lines.

38.

39. Avenue du Général Leclerc a busy high street as British call it.

40.

41.

42.

43.

44. Boulevard Peripherique, Paris inner beltway.

45. Welcome in Montrouge, 46,682 inhabitants in 2.07 km² (0.80 sq mi), officially we are not in Paris anymore but in suburbs.

46. A suburb where developement is going up but price are rising thanks to the metro line 4 extension in work.
The station Mairie de Montrouge will open in december 2012, 83 years after its planning !

47.

48.

49.

50.

51.

52.

53.

54.

55. We left Montrouge for Arcueil, well Montrouge is just next.
Suburban municipalities are so tiny that we don't really know the exact border.
We are in the roof of La Vache noire mall, nice midsized mall.

56. Except the ugly blue building and the plaza, an aerial view of the southern part of Montrouge.
We don't really notice it buit sidewalks in Montrouge are red.

57. Few years ago la Vache Noire was a busy intersection with big housing blocks and industrial wastelands.

58.

59.

Some random pictures in various seasons in la Vache Noire. "Vache Noire" means "black cow" in french.
60.

61. The mall

62. I said various seasons

63.

64

65. I admit that I didn't say various weathers.
