As per original specs, it was supposed to be slightly smaller than South City (7,50,000 sq ft as opposed to South City's 1,000,000 sq ft). But during the construction phase the design & size have undergone considerable change, and as of date the new specs are not yet available; so we'll have to wait for the project to be completed to get the actual figures.
Going by the visuals from naked eye, this one looks as big as South City; it may even be a little bigger as it has 6 dedicated floors to South City's 5. The parking capacity may be a deciding factor in the size. South City has 2000 slots totaling to about 2,00,000 sq ft. I dunno what this will have.

I think the thread name should ideally be "SYED AMIR ALI AVENUE" instead of PARK CIRCUS, as the mall actually does not fall in the Park Circus zone, but is en route between Park Circus to Ballygunge.

GRAND After completion, I hope they clean up and beautify the sidewalks on three sides. They should also knock off the front boundary wall, dynamite those bus shelters and give a 100% view while approaching the mall..something one gets while seeing South City mall.

Curious shoppers in Chennai are checking out the first Louis Vuitton store opened a fortnight ago as Louis Vuitton has identified its next stop-Kolkata, where businessman Sanjiv Goenka is readying a 7-lakh sq ft mall that has already leased out about 50,000 square feet of space to luxury brands such as Bottega Veneta, Bally, Burberry, Rolex, Porsche Design and Jimmy Choo.

In Kolkata, Sanjiv Goenka's mall that will be operational early next year. "The mall will not only get shoppers from within the city but from the entire eastern region. We also expect an influx from Bangladesh," says Pankaj Renjhen, managing director, retail services, at property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle, which is marketing the property. Gucci too is exploring having presence in Kolkata.

The average store size in the mall for these luxury brand will be around 4,000 - 6,000 sq ft, which is real big & comparable to some of their stores in Europe/US.

Spencer's galleria looks like it will be as big as SC, if not more. Few days back, when I went to Forum, the footfall has decreased considerably. If it were not for INOX, the footfall would have fallen further.
