All the heads of the related authorities visited the airport and the construction area for the new domestic side to open in two stages: october 2013 and 2nd trimester of 2014. Among the visitors were the minister of transports, the manger of OPAIN (company that handles BOG) and the head of Aerocivil (Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics).

More photos may come. For the time being:

And this one from a newspaper article. It has been confirmed by OPAIN that the new domestic side will be inaugurated by the president on October 23rd and open to passenger service the 25th of that month:

Some stills from the video. It was uploaded to YouTube on September 5th:

This used to be the immigration hall before october 2012. It used to be filled with people in a cramped space. Now it's almost deserted and scheduled to be demolished along the rest of the building:

These stills are from another video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W78JD4zHd08):

The article, as you can see, is in spanish. So I'm going to point the most important statements of it in here instead of copying the whole article:

> New control tower and aeronautic control center to be ready for april 2014
> Most of the commercial leasers in the old terminal will have stores in the new one. This means McDonald's, Subway, Dunkin Donuts and many others will share space with new food and retail shopping options.
> The new terminal is to be inaugurated by authorities on October 23rd. However, national flights by LAN and CopaColombia will only start using the new areas on the 25th.
> There will be 9 new jetway bridges: 6 on the south pier, 3 on the north pier (to be used by national or international flights) and 7 remote stands.
> It's confirmed that the plans are to develop the Madrid Military Airbase to be used as an alternate airport (mainly for military and general aviation) in order to use the military space in BOG to make new terminals.
> Airlines will be able to use counters to check-in national or international flights, no matter the side of the airport.
> The "Puente Aéreo", now to be known as T2, is scheduled to become a regional flights terminal.

The article had some pics too :

From the pictures...

> It maybe kind of silly but in the terminal's maps the south is on top. Not really that important but just funny.
> The baggage claim area looks larger than in past pictures.
> All retail and food court areas are ready to be fitted into each leaser's demands. Let's hope its ready for late October.
> Some hallways look narrow and other look exactly the opposite. Strange.
> The h's curve (the terminal is in the shape of the letter h) is very beautiful, with the tilted ceiling.
> Some more good news: work has started on the central platform. It's being built where the old traffic lanes used to be.

One for the history books

https://www.facebook.com/ELDORADOBOG

Today, the history of aviation in Colombia turns to a new page as the former terminal of ElDorado airport is closed for demolition. The terminal, built in the 50s, will make way for the new central platform of the brand new terminal. Only the control tower will be spared but only until the new tower, being built in a lot to the west, is completed.
Beginning today (Friday 25th of October), all airlines except Avianca will transfer their domestic flights to the new terminal.

The last flight to use the former terminal was LAN's 3107 coming from Cartagena. The first flight to use the new domestic positions will be Copa Colombia's 7400 destination Medellin.

Avianca will only transfer to the new terminal once all boarding gates become available in the new terminal, what is expected to happen in March or April 2014. At that moment it's being negotiated that, low cost airlines Easyfly and VivaColombia as well as state owned Satena, will transfer their operations to T2 (former Puente Aéreo), Avianca's current domestic terminal.

Thanks to Mariodcarvajal for this satellite image.

We can see T1 finished and the area where the control tower is being built.
