Judging from the pictures I could probably say that Bogota now has the most modern and efficient airport in all of Latin America.

First time browsing through this airport collection, and I am impressed by how modern and efficient El Dorado Airport is! I mean, I truly want to have that airport in my country because it looks really clean, stylish, and comfortable going through the airport terminal, as well as the relative orderliness of both the arrival and departure levels. All I wish for now is, hopefully, there will be more flights between Bogota and Los Angeles, if not all the way to San Francisco... I mean, look at it: it makes me want to fly to Bogota!

This is a diagram, showing how the airport will continue their expansion plan:

- Construction of subway, to connect national and international docks with satellite terminals.
- Duplicate twice, the aircraft parking sites.
- Extension of the tracks (north), for a total of 4700 meters long.

Saludos!!

Truly wonderful! That would really make El Dorado Airport a more efficient airport for international and domestic carriers, and it will hopefully bring more commerce and tourists to Colombia. By the way, speaking of subway, is the airport connected to Central Bogota via Metro or bus?

Well, this expansion is well good for about 20 years, but says the expansion plan that runs to 2040, so I think there should be more ambitious for the growth of the terminal.

Moreover, the connection between terminals, would be more like an exclusive service to the airport, as this for the moment, only connected with the BRT (Transmilenio) by feeder buses:

In the future the stations of the BRT will be integrated with this system, as is well known, the city has no subway system and plans that are handled today didn't contemplated by the railway connection.

Greetings!

So this will mean that El Dorado will have the only airport people mover system in Latin America (outside of Mexico City) if this is built.
