If you have any questions or proposals regarding the new Copenhagen section or something that doesn't warrant its own thread - post it here!

Should we create threads for completed projects that never got their own threads? For instance Krystallen, Rambøll HQ and other huge projects? The section would serve as an archive too.

Great and thanks!

I've updated the first page with some projects. Everyone is welcome to create project threads. I'll be making some in the coming days I think.

Question: Do you guys see it as a good and constructive idea to make threads for the areas as e.g. Vanløse, Brønshøj and Valby ? or is it futile and unnessecairy ?

If you feel there's a demand, go for it. We can always merge the threads with the Projects & Construction thread later, if they'll be dead..

Hopefully, with time, we can get rid of the main construction thread and have a nice and completely organized section.

If the idea is to include all sorts of other news as well - a new director, a new museum café, an acquisition of a new painting or something like that - it seems to be outside the scope if this forum and thus off topic. I therefore don't really see the idea in including a number of other museums only to get a minimum of extra news and updates to post (and even if something occurs, it will generally be completely separate projects, except that there are plans to introduce common outdoor furniture). Better to keep it nice and simple and dedicated to the new Natural History Museum which is quing to be a quite big and - hopefully - very interesting project.. Not sure if the funding is even in place though.
Pretty much agree on this, let kep this focus on the new museum being build. Having said that, there might be a need for a specific museum/attraction thread for smaller news items, but that is probably better located in the icebar section.

No idea though if SSC has any general rules on the matter. Sorry to be a wet blanket.
For gods sake lets keep it in English. This is an international forum and the area and topic is small enough already. It the construction of a new museum in the middle of the old part of town can interest others, I see no point in scaring them away by a lot of local language.

I second completely. Let's for heaven's sake keep the Danish part of the forum in English. There are so many positive spin-offs... People are typically required to reflect a little bit more, before they provide their comments. And I personally really enjoy our small world being so available to the outside and the rest of SSC. I love when someone from wherever suddenly jump onboard, join the conversation and provide his or her takes on various matters of interest. Often that adds a completely new perspective - and that is what SSC really is for me.

When the poor Swedes changed the language of the Malmö thread, I lost my interest completely. It is hard to quickly secure an overview of what's going on now and you are effectively left out of the conversation. That’s not what this forum is about.

Everyone can setup a poll, feel free to do it. If I remember correctly, we already had several over the years, all with an overwhelming majority for keeping English.

I get your hint, and sure, I'm not as active at the moment as I used to be. Over the last 10+ years my activity has gone up and down on this forum and it predecessor, the same will likely happen in years to come.

I don't have any fantastic arguments why we should keep English, but personally I just hate it when other sections are switching to their local languagues. Even a little thing like the Norwegian tread titles in the Norwegian section causes me to never visit that part of the forum anymore, despite the fact that most posts are still written in English.

I first of all vote, that we create an off topic thread for debates like this.

This is IMO the best arguments about this matter.

I am happy either way - there re no doubt pros and cons with either language - but think it would be really nice if a decision could be made so that this discussion wouldn't pop up again and again. It's getting really old.
