Skyscrapers aren't good gauges of economic power.

I wonder what people said back in 1990 when there was this vision of a city called Dubai? While odds on are not great there may be people with that type of vision for another such city. The state of engineering and how fast building materials , techniques and ideas change the ability to build this tall could be here much sooner then we think. My only thought is how much thought is given to practicality or is this more of an object of national pride. Sudan given all it has endured this may serve that purpose and to be honest if it can do that and refocus people in positive pursuits then go for it

This contest to see who has the biggest dick has gotten ridiculously out of hand. And at least Burj Khalifa and Kingdom Tower look nice (except for that damn observation pad on KT). This looks like a gigantic turd pulled out from the ground with some rings on it.

Ridiculo!

Uma verdadeira porcaria.

Enquanto seu povo morre de fome, ficam investindo dinheiro nessas coisas inuteis.

VERGONHA!

keep in mind that that may be a stale proposal design for just the project to get a go, im sure if this thing becomes reality the designs will get in hand of different architect companies and it may have grastical changes, just think about how many different proposals Kingdom Tower had, until it got more serious.

This thread is a joke and an absolute disgrace.

Sudan should concentrate on developing some basic infrastructure for its 40million population and maybe even a stabile government for a prolonged period of time.

Not a playboy Arab fantasy island.

What is going on? Has nobody any sense?

This thread is a disgrace...

If any of you skyscrapers fans have any sense or moral compass, do not support this development.

Why dont these billionaire Arab playboys spend their money where it is needed?

Disgraceful

Jesus Christ, sgroutage

This is an actual proposed project believe it or not and their are actual Sudanese forumers on this website that can actually get their feelings hurt by your posts. Do you know how much money and jobs this could bring to Sudan? A country can't develop without being modernized.

There are two sides to every situation.

Any other innapropriate and hateful posts. and I will personally PM a moderator about your behavior. Over the line.

So you are in favour of wasting oil money on this vanity project?

I am in favour of modernisation, but do you really think this project will benefit the man on the street.

Have you ever been to the Sudan?

Shame on you!

Thank you for removing your post.

Can you only see one side of the picture? Is the world that black and white to you? We all know that Sudan has extreme poverty and hunger and my hearts go out to them but how is that situation going to improve without modernization? Sudan has to develop first to wipe out the hunger and poverty. As of now, Sudan doesn't have a business destination or any investor friendly locations. This project will send lots of money pouring into Sudan which will help fight hunger and poverty and will create 1000's of jobs.

This is the last I'm discussing this as it's going off topic.

Even if we forget about economy this project is still impossible from an engineering perspective as far as I know so I agree that this proposal is

Can't see this happening unfortunately. In the future I'm sure impressive development will occur in Sudan but this particular proposal will be long forgotten when it does.
