Region is expected to drive growth of RP in the coming years from allotment of Finance Conquest.

The West Zone is set to be the next growth vector of Ribeirão Preto. First, because the implementation of the Technology Park, which will occupy 1.1 million square meters, 300 thousand in the field of USP and 800 000 in Conquest Farm, batch close to the university. Second, a project of the owners of the farm, which has an area of about 1,600 acres - 16 million square meters - promises to transform the region one of the noblest and most disputed city.

Today, the property, whose size is equivalent to 2,286 football fields long by 100 meters wide and 70 to 105 parks Curupira (Luiz Roberto Jabali), produces sugar cane. His fields bordering on both sides, Attilio Balbo Highway, which connects the Ribeirão Sertãozinho, and part of the South ring road (Highway Duarte Nogueira Antonio) and North (Highway Alexandre Balbo). But within a decade, few elements that will remind agriculture. The proposal is to deploy along its entire length, a blend mixed with various patterns of residences, commercial establishments, industries and public institutions such as schools and hospitals.

Larger enterprises, however, will be able to impresssionar the beauty and structure, according to the coordinators of the project design. According to them, Ribeirão Preto have two of the biggest green parks in Brazil, with more than 1 million square meters each, along two tributaries of Laureano Creek, crossing the Conquest (see box this page). For comparison, the Curupira Park occupies an area of 152 square meters.

The transformation of the Conquest of allotment is being conducted by Consurb, a São Paulo company that specializes in estate planning. It was founded by Alberto Krähenbühl, father of the current State Secretary of Housing, Lair Krähenbühl, which is one of the partners. For over 40 years market, has deployed large-scale projects in cities such as Sao Paulo and Curitiba. But its founder has big dreams. "Let's make the best achievement in Ribeirão the company's history," says Alberto. "It will be an extremely large business."

He said the Farm Conquest "will be transformed, perhaps in the most noble of Ribeirão Preto." But he explains that optimism is grounded. "The whole area will be subdivided from the farm, only gradually. It is a project for ten years. We can not know whether the market would absorb it all at once," he says. A U.S. consultancy participates as a partner of the initiative.

In Ribeirão the Consurb hired a local designer, architect Silvio Contart, & Takano Contart of Architecture and Urbanism, which has prepared the Master Plan, a comprehensive plan for the area, but without division by lots. So, still not talking about investment forecasting.

"The idea is a mega project. The studies point to the occupation in stages, with various types of construction," says the architect. The challenge will be to adapt the urban subdivision requirements. "The area is very large, we have to think of the city as a whole, the implementation of sewage systems, public transport on arrival there, on environmental and retention of rainwater through the establishment of dams and basins containment, "added the architect.

Among the proposals for the occupation of the area are various types of services such as medical centers and restaurants, bike paths, sports facilities - including a horse riding - and a kart track for sports, hotels and an events center, museums and spaces for the cultural and educational activities, an ecumenical center, a cemetery, park and public administration. In business, the goals are in addition to the Technology Park, regional shopping centers, a shopping agricultural, an industrial clean, among others. A logistics center, a helipad and a forecast for metro area will also be designed.

É apenas imagem ilustrativa para indicar a localização de edificios.

A altura e o padrão serão determinadas pelas construtoras.
