Future ZIA Rendition

I can't wait for the ZIA to be renovated or relocated, that's why I made my own rendition of the future Zamboanga International Airport.
As you can see it resembles the current passengers' terminal, unlike the old terminal it is air conditioned. It's glass is tinted brown...
*Note: It is not finished yet. I used Autodesk Maya 8.5 PLE
Any suggestions are welcome.

I could see the roof is decorated with innumerable protrusions? Did you take this idea from the beard of your avatar?

Hi im pao from iloilo..... no offense but i think you must creat a new design for zamboanga in't. to be able that it could cope up with modernization of airports in the phil. and still has a zamboanga's taste and pride!!!!! just like iloilo international airport!!!!....... modern but still has a ilonggo's taste and pride!!!!!!!
P.S. hope to meet new friends here!!!!!!

IMO, hakhaimos concept looks great..sure it needs a little more polishing but i like it especially the fact that it bears a "zamboangeno" character to it, unlike the newer airports that look too contemporary

i think you must propose that it will have 2 or 3 floors so that Zamboanga International Airport can have airotubes like iloilo in't..... iloilo international airport has 3 airotubes it has a large tarmac also>>>>>>>>>>>

first things first

NIA has not been declared as an international airport yet..

note that DIA has 4 aerotubes pero 2 levels lang siya, i think ganun din ang NAIA2 (as far as i can remember)

NIA has 3 levels pero di siya malapad

New Bacolod, Iloilo airports to be declared int’l gateways

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines -- The Philippine government will declare the New Bacolod-Silay and Iloilo airports international gateways open to flights from neighboring Asian countries, Transportation Secretary Leandro Mendoza said Thursday.

“We are declaring both airports international gateways because they conform to international standards. And if there are airlines that want to bring in international flights they can operate immediately,” Mendoza said.

The two airports, he said, met standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The P5.6-billion New Bacolod-Silay Airport in Barangay (village) Bagtic, Silay, begins domestic flight operations Friday.

Declaring the airport an international gateway will bring progress to Negros Occidental, Mendoza said, citing as an example the vicinity around the Cebu International Airport, which has become an industrial zone.

“They are building two golf courses around the new Iloilo airport and declaring an area as an industrial zone,” he said.

Mendoza said the Kalibo airport, which had been declared an international gateway, now has daily flights from Korea, with a few flights also coming in from China.

The Philippine government is also opening other airports, such as the Lagindingan Airport in Cagayan de Oro City, replacing the existing Cagayan de Oro and Iligan airports, which sit on plateaus with very low cloud ceilings, Mendoza said.

The Lagindingan Airport is 40 kilometers from the Cagayan de Oro Airport and the Santa Barbara Airport in Iloilo is 22 kilometers from Iloilo City.Mendoza also disclosed that the Philippines would host the Association of Southeast Asian Nations transportation ministers meeting for 2008.

“The more international destinations we have, the better for the country because we are going to be competitive,” he said.

The secretary, however, said the old Bacolod airport could not be upgraded to international standards because it did not have the space and could not be compliant with ICAO standards.

The ICAO requires the distance between two airports to be no less than 40 kilometers. The distance between the Bacolod and Silay airports is only 18 kilometers.

and secondly DIA will have its Y shape terminal that has 52 airotube and has 6 story floor 25 airotube is capable of airbus a380...... and it has a X shape auxiliary terminal that has 36 airotubes and 15 is airbus a380 ready

excuse me!!!!!! malapad yata yun!!!! actualy im a BS customs administration student here in iloilo and palagi po ako sa airport>>>>> im on my 3rd year right now!!!! and sa summer may OJT ako doon>>>>>

in fact cathay and singaporAIR flights are under negociation right now!!!!

AND sabi nila flight will start daw this year>>>>>>>

i never said zamboanga was larger (in fact i havent been to ZIA since tiga davao ako..besides we were discussing hakhaimo's proposal anyway so walang connection sa real-world ZIA) ang sabi ko lang naman na di kailangan ang 3 levels pag malapad ang aiport (like what hakhaimo was proposing) since kahit DIA, MCIA and NAIA2 are only 2 levels

if you could provide an article (wag wikipedia ha) na declared na nga i would appreciate it

and junior, its considered rude pag naka all caps ka
