City Symbols according to Google Images

Simply put, I put in a google image search for each city and embedded the first image that appeared that was not a map, flag, text, chart, or road sign. Unsurprisingly, city skylines were heavily represented, but there were a few local quirks that sprouted up.

The search query: was "City name, State name"

UNITED STATES

New York City: Brooklyn Bridge fireworks

Los Angeles: Downtown skyline at dusk

[B]Chicago: Skyline

Dallas: Texas Star ferris wheel

Philadelphia: Comcast Center

Houston: Downtown skyline

Washington, DC: Washington Monument

Miami: Mouth of Miami River

Atlanta: 1997 poster of Turner Field and Fulton Co. Stadium

Boston: Celtics game at TD Garden

San Francisco: Golden Gate Bridge, duh

Detroit: Bagley Memorial Fountain

Phoenix: Downtown skyline

Seattle: Space Needle & Mount Rainier, of course

Minneapolis: American Swedish Institute
