MISC | Most memorable train journey

Post your most memorable journeys on the orin wheels. Be it the scenic beauty that mesmerized you or the experience of the trains itself or any other thing you liked when you travelled. I will do the honors.

The most memorable for me have been in the India. Where else would you find the charm of travelling in trains?

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway

Declared a world heritage site by UNESCO this is one of the most scenic rail routes in the world. Journeying across the mighty Himalayas it will leave you with an experience you would have never had before. I undertook this journey about 15 years back but the memories are still fresh. Dont have pics of mine but posting them just to give you an idea.

Kalka-Shimla Rail

Another gem of the mountains. Not only the view but the journey in the Shivalik Express was worth all the time and money spent. Undertook the journey some 5 years back. Some pics. Again not mine

For me? Simply a ride to London from Harpenden on First Capital Connect. I had said goodbye to many friends ahead of a long time away from them, it was a sunny late summer's evening, so those memories are always in my head. So personally memorable, not memorable in the sense of scenic beauty.

For me the best train journey I've ever had is was from Granada (Spain) to
Ronda (Spain) as we passed through scenery that reminded me of home in England plus I was with my best friend from university. At the time I was living and studying in Granada
