Townhouses on Elfreth's Alley, in Old City Philadelphia. Elfreth's Alley is regarded as America's oldest residential street, with housing opening up in 1702. The two-and-a-half story houses date from before the Revolutionary War, and the three-and-a-half story houses date from the early 1800s.

Buildings on Seneca Street in Oil City, Venango County. The old National Transit Company Building, the reddish-brown brick building to the left, was once the headquarters for the oil pipeline and transportation wing of the Standard Oil Company. It was built in 1890 and is now the Transit Fine Art Gallery. To the right is the Transit Annex, built in 1896.

Mansions on W. 4th Street, called "Millionaire's Row" due to the money made from the lumber industry, in Williamsport. On the right is the Herdic Double House, built in 1875. Peter Herdic built several double houses in Millionaire's Row to attract families.

The Delaware County Courthouse, on Front Street in Media. The courthouse was built in 1846, ith the facade replaced with the current Beaux-Arts style in 1930. The courthouse was the first documented commission of Samuel Sloan, who went on to design several other Pennsylvania county courthouses, as well as other prominent buildings in the state.

The Pagoda, on Skyline Drive on the top of Mount Penn in Reading. The Pagoda was built in 1909 as the centerpiece of a proposed resort hotel, and was built on the blank scar on the mountain left from stone quarrying. The resort was never built, and in 1910 the Pagoda was bought and then given to the city of Reading. The building, modeled after the battle castle of Negoya, is now a symbol of the city of Reading.

I got to go up in the pagoda on one of the rare days it was open last year. Interesting inside, but I can see why they've had trouble trying to make it into a restaurant or hotel the last hundred years.

The highest point on Interstate 80 east of the Mississippi River, at 2,250 feet in elevation, is located just east of Exit 111 in Pine Township, Clearfield County. This point on the Interstate is not the highest point on any Interstate east of the Mississippi River; I-26 on the North Carolina/Tennessee border reaches 3,760 feet.

I think it used to be a restaurant years ago. I was under the impression that it was a restaurant when I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s when my family would drive through Reading on the way to or from my grandparents' house.

I wouldn't doubt that the first floor was a restaurant at some time. It's a gift shop/snack bar right now.

The William Brinton House, on Oakland Road in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County. The house was built in 1704 by an English Quaker, and is a combination of English manor house and Pennsylvania traditional architecture.

A common scene on the Delaware River in Marcus Hook, Delaware County, is the presence of oil tankers travelling the river or docking to unload oil for processing at one of the borough's refineries.
