There are doubtless problems with Leeds as with any city. This ever-heightening deluge of gripes just gets people's backs up, you can always move somewhere else if you prefer it and would be happier as seems to be the case. You can only blame other people so much. My family are from East Leeds and on the whole are quite 'delightful' as it happens, but I'll leave it there.

I've lived in Leeds all my life and i really can't see why you have such a negative outlook, Leeds does have problems but so does anywhere in the world, nowheres utopia, but Leeds as a city does have a lot going for it, but i guess it can be all down to state of mind if you have a negative outlook which i think you do judging by the posts you make on here, all i've got to say is just look at the positive side of Leeds and stop focusing on the negative and painting everything Leeds black. |

As far as I'm aware there were no grey plastic towers in any photos posted by Lad 2011, unless you count those weird things on the corner of WRH which don't look that bad.
It's a real shame that Leeds has treated you so badly di Livio but you don't have to insult the entire city. If your life in Leeds is making you this cynical then you should seriously consider relocationg elsewhere, I'm sure it's not that difficult or expensive. |

If people from East Leeds were giving you grief, it appears the feelings were mutual. |

Aaron, do you mean where was the photo taken? You can see this view from the hills between Bardsey and Collingham, although from a different angle (you can also see the tower block above Harrogate station from up there). I would think this would be taken from the Chevin or maybe Almscliff Crag.

The Howardian hills maybe? I remember a similar view when I was cycling near Castle Howard.

I suppose the obvious guess is Leeds?
I knew it wasn't taken from Almscliff Crag- there's too many fields over the other side of the hill in the foreground. Once you're over the Chevin, it's only a short distance til you hit the urban fringe on the A61 route. On the A660 it's even closer, with parts of Bramhope on the Wharfedale side of The Chevin itself.
