I really hate the Japanese colonial-style architecture of the city hall, it's really nothing special (compared for instance with the Presidential palace of Taipei which looks beautiful) but it's historical heritage, so it's necessary to keep it. The glass dome on top of the tower really fits well overall and makes it less ugly :o

At first I was also skeptical when I saw the renders of the new city hall building but I must admit that wave looks really great. I really cant wait for people to get shots from the ground and from all angles XD

Thanks Inno !

Right Aenelia. Wave shape is really good. This kind of creative design can not constructed unless "design seoul".

I'm very worry about to new mayor who only planted "rice and bees and vergitable" in seoul. He is worst mayor ever

By the way...japan's old building will be used as library...
Sooner or later i will go city hall and take a photos..thanks.

I actually like the colonial architecture because it gives a bit of a variety in architecture from different periods of time. Yes it will always remind us of the painful Colonization of Japan but still history is history and every country has fond and painful pasts.

From the last couple pictures, the final result actually looks quite cool. While I liked all of the other design proposals better, this turned out interesting.

Agree I'm also like other design proposals better. However unfortunately high limited by beside old heritage palace. Therefore other proposal cancelled.
