On Day 7 we took a bus in the morning to Sevilla. When we arrived we took a taxi again (lol, we were so lost every time we came to a new city) and checked in at the hostel. After that we had coffee at a small cafe and then we rented bikes and drove around a bit. On Day 8 we drove through Parque Maria Luisa to the historic center and saw the Cathedral of Sevilla and the La Giralda. After that we just chilled in the street and took some pics before going out to a Michelin star restaurant that night (It was accidental lol so we just ordered a jug of Sangria

Final pictures for today. I took these inside the cathedral. It was really impressive and these pictures don't do the cathedral any justice at all. We also went up the La Giralda but I'll post those pictures tomorrow

The Sevilla Cathedral was one of the highlights, if not the highlight of my trip

At least it was a warm summer by Europe standards But I'll definitely book my next European trip in the summer! If it's not 40C, I'm depressed lol.

Isn't Seville's cathedral the largest gothic building in the world or something like that? it is really impressive, although I remember it was hard for me to feel the real dimensions of it

I don't know, I would've thought it's the Notre Dame. Either way, all the golden altars and elaborate religious sculptures, paintings etc were overwhelming. I've never seen anything like it.

You thought correct. I'm just updating my thread on a day to day basis as it's much easier.

Your Orthodox Church looks like a church but it´s not a church. Is the former Argentinian Pavilion, now a Conservatory of Dance.

I love watching Sevilla, the city where I was born, through someone eyes who has never seen it before. It´s nice and exciting.

Yes it is, because it was adapted to the previous mosque dimensions. 116x110 metres.

It looks like you had a great time over here (although the weather doesn't look that great), nice pictures! Thank you so much.

You asked for it :-P

216 is just a regular mansion from the 1920s, 224 a primary school, 238 the Spanish navy HQ (originally the navy pavilion for the already mentioned expo) and those gardens aren't actually the María Luisa park but Jardines de las Delicias (not an important fact since the actual park is just across the street and I bet many, if not most, of local people don't know the difference between them, but if you were a freak of historical gardens it would be remarkable since they belong to different periods and styles). It's also obvious that you confused the Argentina pavilion with a church: it was designed after some colonial churches over there. Sorry if I've been too scrupulous but I can't help it, that's my district there!

Thanks guys and thanks for the corrections Nolke. I had this idealized picture in my head that every single building was some kind of church That's your district?? We stayed at the Albergue Interjoven about 700m south in Calle Isaac Peral

The weather was only bad the time we stayed in Cordoba and then during the mornings in Sevilla. You'll see in the afternoon pics I'll post soon that the clouds dissipated. We also had just sunny days in Granada and Madrid

Also, my bandwidth on Photobucket is running out so if the pictures go offline, they'll come back online on the 19th
